Et oui notre charme français ! Mais il n'y à pas que Paris en France: Bordeaux, Marseille, Lyon, Nice diserved to be known too... But I agree Paris is so charming! ;)
@JuStViCtoR It ought be forbidden to say "Jerry Mcguire" in a phrase together with the name of this movie. Two different movies yes, but to different dimension by far
@Mxsmanic It's called filming at the golden hours, ex sunrise and sunset. It gives everything a "vintage" look and it makes the highlights and shadows have higher contrast.
@vinnimin96 But these shots were almost all in the middle of the day, under an overcast, so it's not golden hour or natural light. The greens have been saturated, too. It looks weird. I hope the actual film doesn't have the same problem.
@NeptunePolyphemus But it's not Latin. The name derives from the bronze age tribe that inhabited the Ile de la Cite and the banks of the Seine from the 4th millenium BC: the Parisi (the boat people). This is why the symbol of Paris is a boat. They only dug up the canoes a few years ago, buried in the peat mud at Bercy. Before that the oldest artifacts were only 2500BC. These canoes, 6 metres long, are wooden and 6500 years old (4500 BC). The boat people. Ancient times. Ancient place.
I was in Paris in September.....and I miss it so much! Just watching this clip makes me tear up really bad.....It's the most beautiful place on this entire earth.....I want to move to Paris....and I know one day I will be in Paris...
first time i saw this scene i was sitting in a cinema in Paris during my erasmus stay, my friends and i spelling out all of that places.. what a city. ♥ Inoubliable. and woody allen's mastery..
First time I saw this movie was actually on the way back from an Ireland/Paris trip.As I watched the opening scene I wanted the plane to turn around and go back.I've been to Paris a few times now and could go over and over again.Owen Wilson and Marion Cotillard were parfait and the cinematography and soundtrack incroyable.
Thanks for posting. This is the only movie I've seen in a theater twice-I loved it that much (except for the political jabs). I was in Paris 9 years ago, and it makes me miss it that much more.
I can watch this over and over without getting bored. And I'm gonna start playing the opening scene in the background while I'm doing other things. It's so relaxing.
J'adore ca! Maintenant, c'est mon filme favorite :) Does anyone know the name of the song playing? It reminds me of the old-time tunes of Paris... the old days *sigh*
@SelaamHabesha - The song is Si tu vois ma mère by Sidney Bechet. It's very famous in France. Promenading in Le Marais or along the Seine and you can still hear the street musicians play it on a daily basis. It's part of the reason why Paris is such a great place. Music and works of art everywhere.
@natesdevices it seems you don't like French people do you? :) c'mon travel a bit and you'll se we're not so bad and I would advice you to open yourself to the world because I believe you're wrong in few points.
Anyway, did I say "I know better than everyone else"? no I don't think so, I'm just saying "this movie sucks", any problems with that my dear friend?
@MrRascarcapak ill admit i do have a certain lack of affinity for the french but i still would love to go to paris, as well as travel europe. I like to think of myself of a more cultured person then a lot of those I'n my community.
@MrRascarcapak im from a very rich, very sheltered, primarily jewish community in the nicer suberbs outside chicago. being middle class and some what apart i always strived for more interesting hobbies and personality traits, ive devoted years of my life to studying biology, evolution, history, and of late the renaissance in europe. Ive been to london once though i hope to return to europe many times. Why would you question me?
@JuStViCtoR Such a beautiful elegant movie. One of Allen's finest. Owen Wilson was so at ease in his role, understated performance, best of his career. As soon as the first note was played and the first view of Paris I feel in love with this movie. This is the epitome of a "you had me at hello" moment.
I love Paris and I LOVE this film! Thank you Woody Allen for for this and for all the other wonderful movies you gave us!

I almost disliked this video because it ended with the leading tone in the music...but since this is a great montage I suppose I can ignore that.
Loved this movie!

It's just a shame Woody Allen saturated the colours of the buildings a bit too much..

Que maravilla. Y por supuesto, con una ciudad tan hermosa y romántica como la bella París, es doblemente cautivante.
Definitivamente una de las mejores películas del 2011. Enhorabuena!
