  • stunning.

  • J'adore Paris, with or without Woody Allen!

  • Et oui notre charme français ! Mais il n'y à pas que Paris en France: Bordeaux, Marseille, Lyon, Nice diserved to be known too... But I agree Paris is so charming! ;)

  • @JuStViCtoR It ought be forbidden to say "Jerry Mcguire" in a phrase together with the name of this movie. Two different movies yes, but to different dimension by far

  • 0.54'de sandalyede oturup bıyığını okşayan abi kesin türk. ehehe bizim milleti nerde görsem tanırım =)

  • 6 loonies and counting.

  • From 0:17 to 0:25 I knew I was gonna love this movie! This opening scene is just perfect. This was a great film to see at the movies.

  • Does the entire film have this orangish tint to the colors?

  • @Mxsmanic It's called filming at the golden hours, ex sunrise and sunset. It gives everything a "vintage" look and it makes the highlights and shadows have higher contrast.

  • @vinnimin96 But these shots were almost all in the middle of the day, under an overcast, so it's not golden hour or natural light. The greens have been saturated, too. It looks weird. I hope the actual film doesn't have the same problem.

  • love music

  • What a beautiful opening scene! :'D

  • Did anyone cry when they passed this at the cinema? (ok. i did. i have always loved Paris)

  • I almost disliked this video because it ended with the leading tone in the music...but since this is a great montage I suppose I can ignore that.

    Loved this movie!

  • Woody allen is a hopeless romantic!!<3 <3 PARIS <3 <3

  • i loved the polished, quint look of the city. It's like the entire city was a countryside cottage.

  • da quando ho visto il film ho in mente soltanto di tornare a Parigi.

  • I live in Paris and when I see this kind of movie it makes me fall in love with it all over again

It's just a shame Woody Allen saturated the colours of the buildings a bit too much..

  • never been to paris, but my parents and my brother went. maybe one day who knows?

  • WHERE"S THE LAST B FLAT!!!! can't wait to watch this!

  • "To know that Paris exists and anyone would choose to live anywhere else is a mystery to me," I couldn't agree more.

  • I lived in Paris for 4 months last year. Best time of my life <3

  • Pure Woody--pure feel good-!

  • does anybodt know any movies like midnight in paris. if so please msg me. i really love this film

  • j'ador le paris! can't wait to go there again sometime!

  • In Latin PARIS means EQUAL. Equal to what? The moon and stars maybe.

  • @NeptunePolyphemus But it's not Latin. The name derives from the bronze age tribe that inhabited the Ile de la Cite and the banks of the Seine from the 4th millenium BC: the Parisi (the boat people). This is why the symbol of Paris is a boat. They only dug up the canoes a few years ago, buried in the peat mud at Bercy. Before that the oldest artifacts were only 2500BC. These canoes, 6 metres long, are wooden and 6500 years old (4500 BC). The boat people. Ancient times. Ancient place.

  • paris! its so beautiful there! pretty much the only reason why i was interested in this movie!!! i <3 Paris :D!

  • MIDNIGHT IN PARIS WON BEST SCREENPLAY!!! I LOVE YOU, WOODY! '<3 <3 <3 <3

  • C'est magnifique! Si j'avais la chance d'aller en France...

  • Pénderrr....Pénderrr....Pénderrrrr!! And I am...Dalí!

  • I was in Paris in September.....and I miss it so much! Just watching this clip makes me tear up really bad.....It's the most beautiful place on this entire earth.....I want to move to Paris....and I know one day I will be in Paris...

  • Can someone please tell me what song this is?

  • first time i saw this scene i was sitting in a cinema in Paris during my erasmus stay, my friends and i spelling out all of that places.. what a city. ♥ Inoubliable. and woody allen's mastery..

  • can anyone please tell me names for the areas this opening movie shows? we are searching for hotels!

  • thanks france & allen. does someone know what is the name of this song, and the composer? thanks to you then

  • @diogenecinico1 "Si tu vois ma mère" performed by Sidney Bechet (1952).

  • @diogenecinico1 Si tu vois ma mere by Sidney Joseph Bechet :)

  • Wow the Cinematography is really Beautiful just shows how nice Paris is.

  • First time I saw this movie was actually on the way back from an Ireland/Paris trip.As I watched the opening scene I wanted the plane to turn around and go back.I've been to Paris a few times now and could go over and over again.Owen Wilson and Marion Cotillard were parfait and the cinematography and soundtrack incroyable.

  • I worked in a movie theater the summer of 2011. Hands down the best of the summer lineup

  • Otra joya cinematográfica del señor Allen.

Que maravilla. Y por supuesto, con una ciudad tan hermosa y romántica como la bella París, es doblemente cautivante.

Definitivamente una de las mejores películas del 2011. Enhorabuena!

  • what i would do to be able to live in paris

  • Anyone else sit in their seat in the theater and think "Manhattan"?

  • ho visto molte città... ma non esiste niente nel mondo che sia bello com'è bella Parigi... indimenticabile!!!

  • Another amazing Woody Allen film with an iconic opening! :) Thank you so much for uploading!

  • Thanks for posting. This is the only movie I've seen in a theater twice-I loved it that much (except for the political jabs). I was in Paris 9 years ago, and it makes me miss it that much more.

  • Paris is such a beautiful city. Fell in love with it this summer.

  • @hanghong same here

    : )

  • Soundtrack's name?

  • @guido110191 si tu vois ma mere

  • @guido110191 Si tu vois ma mère, written and composed by the marvellous Sidney Bechet ;)

  • I can't get the city (and this movie) out of my head (and heart)

  • Beautiful! I like how it goes from day to evening to midnight

  • This hurts my heart and further proves that Paris is where I am meant to be. Can't wait to head back...

  • The pictures and the music, both are greit! Congratulation!!!!

  • I can watch this over and over without getting bored. And I'm gonna start playing the opening scene in the background while I'm doing other things. It's so relaxing.

  • The haunting, beautiful tune in the background is: Sidney Bechet - "Si tu vois ma mère" ["If you see my mother"].

  • J'adore ca! Maintenant, c'est mon filme favorite :) Does anyone know the name of the song playing? It reminds me of the old-time tunes of Paris... the old days *sigh*

  • @SelaamHabesha - The song is Si tu vois ma mère by Sidney Bechet. It's very famous in France. Promenading in Le Marais or along the Seine and you can still hear the street musicians play it on a daily basis. It's part of the reason why Paris is such a great place. Music and works of art everywhere.

  • Arguably the greatest video on the whole of Youtube.

  • amazing amazing~ I enjoy in this film better than Annie Hall

  • Manhattan was better

  • How can everyone who's ever been to Paris resist this kind of cinema?

  • @7iggy actually I'm parisian and this movie sucks

  • @MrRascarcapak ah so it's a french guy acting like he knows better then everyone else, thats new.

  • @natesdevices it seems you don't like French people do you? :) c'mon travel a bit and you'll se we're not so bad and I would advice you to open yourself to the world because I believe you're wrong in few points.

Anyway, did I say "I know better than everyone else"? no I don't think so, I'm just saying "this movie sucks", any problems with that my dear friend?

  • @MrRascarcapak ill admit i do have a certain lack of affinity for the french but i still would love to go to paris, as well as travel europe. I like to think of myself of a more cultured person then a lot of those I'n my community.

  • @natesdevices and where are you from mister more cultured?

  • @MrRascarcapak im from a very rich, very sheltered, primarily jewish community in the nicer suberbs outside chicago. being middle class and some what apart i always strived for more interesting hobbies and personality traits, ive devoted years of my life to studying biology, evolution, history, and of late the renaissance in europe. Ive been to london once though i hope to return to europe many times. Why would you question me?

  • its like Jerry Mcguire "you had me at hello"

    they had at 0:18 <3

    i love this movie :3

  • @JuStViCtoR Such a beautiful elegant movie. One of Allen's finest. Owen Wilson was so at ease in his role, understated performance, best of his career. As soon as the first note was played and the first view of Paris I feel in love with this movie. This is the epitome of a "you had me at hello" moment.

  • in loooooooooove ♥ Paris is so wonderful :')
