  • Such a beautiful song.

  • Always prefered earlier Alison. Was lucky enough to see her in Bean Blossom back in the 80s. Now she won't even come near the place. ITS SAD!

  • intro by John Hartford (I had the honour to be his sound man one night). There they all are,one of the best bands in the world now, and so young then. They blew away the sold out crowd at the Courtenay Folk Festival July 7 2011. Jerry played Chick Corea's Spain on a dobro, hell I can't play it. The banjo player's last song nailed us all at the end. Wow, wow wow.

  • Lose Again, a beautiful song, written by Karla Bonoff

  • man i love this... seeing her... back then.... when i was back then... but didnt know her then... lol lol (at me!).. it really is beautiful... alison has the voice i want to hear forever.. just perfection in purest form...

  • Alison Kraus and Union Station rocks, and she is from my hometown!

  • always loved bluegrass always Alison Krauss

  • pre nashville make-over. ah yes I remember it well.

  • superbe go to the frensh country i would like to see alison kraus in my country please come in paris i love your songs

  • She was just a Kid here, I really don't think she has gone "all hollywood" I just think she has grown up and changed with the time, I mean this was like 17 years ago. She has only gotton better... But I do have to say this is one of my favorite songs!!

  • Wonderful! That thar's wonderful! - Judd Jugmonger

  • what year was this?

  • Don't think she has had work done, just think she has grown into knowing what fashion suits her and what hairstyle. She looks much better now. Always the fabulous voice though, that never changes.

  • Looks like she has lost a fair bit of weight since this, but fortunately her voice is still great

  • Allison back before she went hollywood with looks. I thought she looked better back in the beginning than she does now. I think she's had "work"

  • When was this done?...AK with black hair?!...also, no Dan Tyminski pushing himself out front like its his band...she should have kept this group...thanks AK, you are an amazing talent...

  • This is just awesome! What a voice...angels in Heaven are jealous!

  • I have always said she had the voice of a angel . Bluegrass if Fucking REAL music look at the talent it takes.

  • Yes. This statement is full of win. Ever since the first time I heard her sing, I've been absolutely in love with her voice. Thank God for giving her that voice. She is amazing.

  • She has a sweet voice. Excellent and brilliant music as well. I love it.

  • Thanks for posting... As soon as I saw this on TV back then, I went to a store to buy a CD... These two songs are still one of my favorites.

  • Thank You for posting! Tim Stafford...UNREAL!

  • Agreed.

  • Barry Rocks.

    Awseome video buddy.

  • Great stuff, this is when Alison was doing real music. Ron's banjo tone is great, love that roll starting at about 0:52. Adam's mandolin playing is great.

  • Thank You for posting.Wow..where does one start...All candy for the ears! How does Adam make a mandolin sound THAT sweet my O my :)

  • anybody have the american music shop video of alison krauss and peter rowan doing undying love ? best duet i've ever heard . with tony rice and j.d. crowe .

  • There's VIDEO of that??????????!!!!!!!

I NEED IT!!!! I NEEEEEEEEEEEED IT!!!!

P.S. to MacKae1: Looks like Adam Steffey to me!

  • it was the bluegrass album band with rowan and krauss . somebody has to have it .

  • the "keepin me goin i know its insane" part in the first song just melts me, best female singer of her generation

  • I would love to hear her sing and play her old songs today. Her new songs are great but I think it would be interesting to here her old songs sung by her refined voice.

  • love this video, thanks so much for posting !

Alison does her usual charming, graceful, angelic performance, Union Station are brilliant (how I miss Adam Steffeys contribution to their sound !), and these songs are from one of my favorite AKUS albums. So you just can't go wrong !

  • Thank You for posting, from the first time I heard Alison sing, really doesnt matter what talented folks she performs with, the one constant is her beautiful delivery both on the fiddle and her Angelic voice...Wow again!

  • at :50 steffey appreciates the great melody and looks to jerry to see if he agrees

    i'm sure he does

  • what the fuck dude. get your shit straight, jerry douglas is not in this bad.

  • I think you mean Tim. Jerry didn't come until Adam left

  • i know ;-) me and a friend just havin some fun :-P

  • Hey that's rude!

  • shes better looking now

  • I like the album version of Lose Again better where Ron and Tim (at that time) now Ron and Dan harmonize with her.

  • Allison gives "cool" a capital C!! Yes, Union Station definitely deserves Carnegie Hall this Spring! Keep goin' Allison!

  • What a delight! Thanks for the post.

  • There was an American Music Shop Recording of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band w/ Rodney Crowell performing Long Hard Road - does anyone know where that video might be other than youtube? Thanks

  • where's Dan timynski? Alison looks different, but I still fantasize about her.

  • he didnt join the group until oh..1994 or 5

  • Oh, sorry, you're talking about Dan Tyminski in your comment here. I made a comment but it was because You Tube jumbles up the comments like crazy sometimes. Aaargh!

  • This was before Dan joined the band. He took Tim Staffords place in 1994.
