intro by John Hartford (I had the honour to be his sound man one night). There they all are,one of the best bands in the world now, and so young then. They blew away the sold out crowd at the Courtenay Folk Festival July 7 2011. Jerry played Chick Corea's Spain on a dobro, hell I can't play it. The banjo player's last song nailed us all at the end. Wow, wow wow.
man i love this... seeing her... back then.... when i was back then... but didnt know her then... lol lol (at me!).. it really is beautiful... alison has the voice i want to hear forever.. just perfection in purest form...
She was just a Kid here, I really don't think she has gone "all hollywood" I just think she has grown up and changed with the time, I mean this was like 17 years ago. She has only gotton better... But I do have to say this is one of my favorite songs!!
Don't think she has had work done, just think she has grown into knowing what fashion suits her and what hairstyle. She looks much better now. Always the fabulous voice though, that never changes.
When was this done?...AK with black hair?!...also, no Dan Tyminski pushing himself out front like its his band...she should have kept this group...thanks AK, you are an amazing talent...
Yes. This statement is full of win. Ever since the first time I heard her sing, I've been absolutely in love with her voice. Thank God for giving her that voice. She is amazing.
Great stuff, this is when Alison was doing real music. Ron's banjo tone is great, love that roll starting at about 0:52. Adam's mandolin playing is great.
anybody have the american music shop video of alison krauss and peter rowan doing undying love ? best duet i've ever heard . with tony rice and j.d. crowe .
I would love to hear her sing and play her old songs today. Her new songs are great but I think it would be interesting to here her old songs sung by her refined voice.
Alison does her usual charming, graceful, angelic performance, Union Station are brilliant (how I miss Adam Steffeys contribution to their sound !), and these songs are from one of my favorite AKUS albums. So you just can't go wrong !
Thank You for posting, from the first time I heard Alison sing, really doesnt matter what talented folks she performs with, the one constant is her beautiful delivery both on the fiddle and her Angelic voice...Wow again!
There was an American Music Shop Recording of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band w/ Rodney Crowell performing Long Hard Road - does anyone know where that video might be other than youtube? Thanks
Oh, sorry, you're talking about Dan Tyminski in your comment here. I made a comment but it was because You Tube jumbles up the comments like crazy sometimes. Aaargh!
thanks coop ... is beautyfull the song, in my skin are this melody, and, for my eyes born the tears, when I listen this songs... I am from Uruguay, Scusmy my Inglish is realy bad...
Such a beautiful song.

Always prefered earlier Alison. Was lucky enough to see her in Bean Blossom back in the 80s. Now she won't even come near the place. ITS SAD!
