It wasn't misspelled. Both, 'ü' and 'ue' can be used, they're alternative spellings. Likewise, 'ö' and 'oe' are interchangeable and the same is true for 'ß' and 'ss' and if i'm not mistaken, 'ä' and 'ae'.
