i know a church organ player very well, who does never ever play this or the other famous wedding- piece (wagner) at any wedding.... i can understand him.... i like mendelssohn... but this piece isn't one of his best....
Yes, the ballet uses this all the time. Not an everyday dance I know, but people do dance to it. Think of the nutcracker, it is in those lines. It's outside the box. Beautifully done, I may add. Well worth watching!
@Falcon21893 It's not actually music from a ballet at all. It was written as incidental music for the play actually. There has been a ballet put to it but it wasn't written for that purpose... So it seems cubfan isn't so much of an idiot eh?! Ppl in glass houses..., YOU idiot
@Demonicdomg I apologize. You're right, it was written for the play; however, as it is now used in several ballet productions I believe it is fair to say that one can dance to it, and cubfan is still incorrect. I probably shouldn't have continued the name calling...although I'm not the only one
lol i'm in da midsummer nights dream ballet thing and we dance to this....but the one we dance to is a bit slower i think :) marching probably fits better
A beautiful, emotional and joyfulness in it , song , written by the sort-after writer, the person hu's one of those composer in any of a violinists' mind, a person who can rite out this kind of breathtakin, pleasant and sophisticated song.
@BMWrocksalltheway
Thanks, for your wishes- I'll keep on looking for him-the man in my life and YES it's certainly a piece of music, you'll remember.

que pieza tan hermosa, que lástima que la gente se halla encargado de quemarla usándola en las bodas :(
