  • I absolutely love Bob Dylan not only was he gorgeous, but the man could sing.! I need a time machine lol.

  • kinda sad seein this, but it made him make some wonderful music thats for damn sure. love ya bob

  • I loved the profane cadence of his laugh at the beginning ...very animalistic and raw,

  • Bob Dylan and his friends sniffing cocaine? He had the connections back then .

  • No documentary has the right to violate constitutional rights---research Bob Dylan's life---nah thats not what this video did it violated his basic human rights and those afforded american citizens by the constitution of the united states of america. It was cheap thrills for someone to make a buck off of. Cheap ILLEGAL thrills dunno maybe someone should research the life of deceiving GRACE in the same manner or do you think thats a stupid conclusion too? cause trust me I'm all for it..

  • @littlesallysanctus Is this violating Bob Dylan when the clip comes from a Dylan documentary that was made in 1966? A documentary that Dylan participated in and edited by himself? If he was ashamed of it, it would never been released. You don't have to pull off some speech about "The Constitution of the US" about public footage. Btw, Constitution of the US has nothing to do with freedom or human rights, its just bureucratic hypocrisy, which maybe you need to understand yourself. Get a grip dude.

  • I think this video is a violation of bob dylan's basic human rights to privacy and personal freedom -- the person that posted this is not a nice human being or respectful of the rights and freedoms of others. This video should be removed from youtube. If it could happen to his freedoms and privacy it could happen to yours.

  • @littlesallysanctus It's the beginning of a documentary about Bob Dylan. I can't remember the name of it right now but I think you should actually research Bob Dylan's life before coming to stupid conclusions.

that friend was actually a rock star, the late Richard Manuel

  • whahaah such a great man.

does anybody knows which song he is playing on that piano?

  • thats not weed thats acid.

  • @skatcrazdude Actually he looked down on people who do acid, if you ask me he was probably on a mixture of pot and possibly cocaine.

  • @MrWittlez nah, i don't think he would do cocaine..

i'm sure he smoked a lot of weed, but cocaine... i doubt it

  • @migasaguiar I was just saying possibly cocaine, I mean I don't think he really was in to hard drugs but his high certainly was pretty strong. I just think it's a possibilty, who knows what he was on!!

  • @MrWittlez Well about the hard drugs, he was known to take alotta speed. It seems he's on pyschedelics in this vid but I prob wouldn't count him out for any kinda drug, except maybe smack

  • @Sabbath24 The singer Nico said he was on smack when she was with him in 1964.

  • @migasaguiar he did a lot of cocaine during the 70s

  • @nankerphelge718 yeah but this is in the 60s right? i mean it looks like 1966 Bob Dylan lol

  • I don't think that's really Dylan. But even if it was, are you KIDDING? You didn't know that Dylan got/gets stoned. What planet do you live on?

  • @BiggCox Mostly weed and meth (speed) some folks say.

  • @BiggCox Weed, i guess.. because of the laugh at te start

  • @Nayen69 Amen

  • nayen69 you are an idiot. go die. wen you start smoking weed you'll understand y you sound stupid. and i have wrote way more than you have cuz im older and i know wat im taling about your 13 wat the fuck can you say that can change things? nothing.

  • You truly sound like a stereotypical thirteen year old boy, sitting on the computer, bitching at people who could potentially make a difference. Your age means nothing. "Im older and i know wat im taling about your 13" I'm pretty sure you don't know what in the fuck you're talking about. I'm not very old and I've done impacting things. There isn't an age limit on making a difference, ass hole.

  • Oh man, do I love him.

  • Bob Dilan ... he ispired Jimi Hendrix, u folks!

  • also inspired beatles, beach boys, joan baez and a lot more artists

  • what a cute laugh! and he looks so cool playing the piano and smoking hs cigarr <3

  • twentymooseman, you are an idiot.

who are you to interpret what is, and isn't "poetry?"

many consider jim morrison to be a poet first, and musician second. and the doors' first two albums were written in a notebook while in an acid trance.

  • Comment removed

  • @neilchap87 jim morrison is no poet, and if rumors are to be belived hes a but of a "back door man"

  • FUCK YOU morrison is an unbelievable poet stupid fuck

  • @goatsheadsoup20 your just fucking wrong!

  • obviously im not wrong because every one who as at least not a complete dumb fuck ass hole knows im right

  • @goatsheadsoup20 when you grow up youll realise hes not all that, just a drunk shouty man with his cock hanging out

  • @djboony though he may have been a drunk and so on no one can deny that his music and words are extremely beautiful and he had an amazing voice

  • @goatsheadsoup20 yeah i will admit he had a great voice, he could really barrel it out! ive always thought he was overrated like especially compared to dylan or lou reed, i really like the doors first record but i think from then on it gets more and more egotistical and self induldgent

  • @djboony i dont know about that morrison hotel was one of their later albums and i consider it one of my favorite albums i mean dylan and lou reed were amazing but even though jim morrison was a drunk i guess because a big fan i can put it behind but i see where your coming from

  • @goatsheadsoup20

This is what I like to see! a peaceful resolution to a disagreement on YouTube haha. and one that started with hostility none the less. seems like a rare feat in the internet world.

  • not really...

  • so what some people are saying here is that you can only create good poetry or lyrics or whatever type of written art when you're stoned? well, guess what? I'm 13 years old and I've written 2 full notebooks of poetry that some may consider good and I have NEVER got drugs or alcohol helping me with that, so your way of thinking is completely irrational if you think you have to be on a dead consciosness state to produce some literature work.

  • dude nobody said you had to be high to write poetry so chill the fuck out man

  • What good are you as an artist if you can only create in an altered state of conciousness? True art that has any meaning or value (especially poetry) comes from deep, unaltered thought. How can you make any meaningful social commentary when you yourself can't hardly think straight? That's directed at the other people who've commented, not at Bob Dylan.

  • Good point, however, i think one could make this opposing argument. You could argue that use of alcohol or other drugs has the ability to clear the mind of petty, superficial, everyday thinking, allowing the writer to get into a mode of deeper thought. I don't condone or look down on people who may use drugs to write, I just think the only thing that matters is if the writing is good, it is good. It doesn't matter how you get there, it matters what you produce. The ends can justify the means.

  • Not all writing comes from deepness, it's not a big deal if you want to try something and you happen to like it and write about your experience, you yourself are being close minded many of the stuff I'm sure you listen to come from an inspiration of drugs

  • @twentymooseman art isn't defined as meaningful social commentary. poetry might be more of a sober art you know but music is a lot more aobut aesthetics. music isn't intellectual.

  • @nankerphelge718 Yeah, that whole comment was pretty badly worded on my part. The idea I was trying to get across was that doing drugs doesn't automatically make you a better artist, it requires some level of conscious effort. My whole idea of art is that it should express something about the human experience. Really, the more I write, the more i realize how stupid that first comment was. I guess my whole argument is invalid because art can't be clearly defined and really shouldnt be.

  • @twentymooseman True, drugs don't make people good artists. It just makes creativity easier. If you're a bad writer, you're still gonna be one when high or whatever, you're just gonna make MORE bad writing.

For SOME people drugs can help to "release" some creative energy by removing inhibition. But if the genius isn't inside already, drugs ain't gonna help.

  • @HahaVision

if you want creative drugs then try LSD, weed, shrooms, ecstasy, DMT. if youre going to start doing ecstasy i suggest you use the site pillreports to check and see which are good, lot of people will sell you bad tabs. i only do downer based e myself, hate speedy drugs. i write, draw, and make music and yes i like certain drugs.

  • Laughter IS GOOD FOR THE HEART!!!!

  • drugs rules everything around me DREAM

  • to live is to take drugs ? I have taken my fair share of them. Now i'm back to the land of the "dead"....

  • at 0:26 is a hit of blow.

  • most defiantly acid giggles

  • Show me a video where he isn't stoned out of his mind!

  • He's drunk and he's holding up the waiter.

  • From what? That restaurant looks pretty damn empty to me.

  • what is sad about it?

  • Yeah he was more than stoned he was trippin balls

  • how can u say pathetic it was his choice...don't dislike him because of his life style, just love him because of his music...

  • @AlwaysRemembered123 - just like gary glitter......

  • @AlwaysRemembered123 ‎...and don't criticize what you can't understand...please get out of the way now if you can't lend a hand...oh the times they are a chaning ♥

  • @TheRealMollyMaev Well heres theres really nothin to understand....the guys just stoned and being goofy

  • @AlwaysRemembered123 i love him because of his life style i worship him for his music

  • @AlwaysRemembered123 and his lifestyle, he is awesome

  • that hysterical laughter puts chills down my spine ahha

acid is one hell of a drug

  • I'm so glad I'm not famous! Some of the things I've done while enjoying my life would look a million times worse on camera than this. What was that other famous dudes statement? "He who is without .........?"

  • its rare footy of one of the greatest dudes alive on drugs its legendary, its hard to believe people can try to put this down.

i am ashamed of the negative peoples.

  • Maybe because people hate what drugs do, and believe a persons creativety is above that ?

At least, that is what I believe.

  • @miguelbaptista blog about it

  • and i believe u r gay!

  • your fucking retarded

  • @miguelbaptista

I take plenty of drugs on a regular basis, and I've actually published a few poems (I'm only 18 btw). Guess what? The only ones that got published were the ones I wrote when I was high.

    Hmm... maybe there's a connection..

  • What's the best drugs creativity do you think?

  • Psilocybin mushrooms, as they are self-limiting drugs. If you smoke marijuana, for example, you'll only end up doing it all the time, and it will eventually consume your life.

  • @loftymuses your an idiot... you have no idea what your talking about

  • I would like to point out that although what I said was true, I don't condone drug use in any way.

  • When I wrote that comment I was at the peak of a long-standing drug problem, and, since I've detoxed, I feel a lot better mentally and physically. I suppose, like all the greats (e.g., Eric Clapton, Elton John, Bill Hicks, Billy Joel, even Shakespeare!) that I too had to find out (the hard way) that sobriety is where true art is made, and where true life is lived.

Stay sober, friend, and live off of love, laughter, and art. Best of luck.

  • Yes, thank you for your advice! I'm also 18 btw...

  • My advice would be to just stick to pot. Shrooms are good as well, but more as a once in a while kind of thing.

  • THANK YOU

  • I love love love Bob Dylan!!

    This ia freakin awesome!

  • the piano is cool but that's it :[
