at 1:33 it sounds like a lot of laughter yet no one in tht section even looks like they're laughing.....i usally like british comedy, but not for the version of whose line
"Now don't you worry sir, I know this procedure like the back of my hand. (looks at the back of hand and looks astonished) Huh, never saw that before....
I would do the basic, oh my god i forgot in there: "Needle! (extend the hand)...(look at the hand, *there is nothing*, and then stare frightening at the pacient)"
This Tony guy it's excellent. Why he doesn't appear as a especial guest like Chip in US version ?!?!?
normally the saying is, "with friends like that who need enemies?" but ryan is doing a little play on words, making it "with friends like that who needs enemas?" enemas - i'm not going to explain that here, use google or something if you don't know.
Kiliamloysic, 'Max Headroom' was a computer program that had a glytch & would frequently say things just a smidgen off or twist the meaning or exchange a word subtley in a phrase to shift it's meaning-making the new phrase zillions of times funnier-or even naughtier, so my guess after thinking about it more, is that Ryan got the phrase from Matt Frewer 'Max Headroom'.
The 1st time I heard that line was back in 1987 when the actor Matt Frewer said it in character as Max Headroom on the show of the same name & I died laughing! Which preceeded WLIIA by 7 yrs. Comedians borrow work from eachother all the time & that's classic. If not, then I'd say it just stuck with him from Matt Frewer, or maybe came to Ryan out of the blue because he's funny on his own. Short of asking Ryan who knows?
I can only assume you mean Tony Slattery, the one that mimed ralphing into his hands, that has black hair..who's of Irish descent but was born in England. Not Welsh.
Perhaps only American euphamisms for yawning in technicolour, praying to the porcelin god, yakking?..otherwise variations of what Tony seems to do quite a bit, which is spit up in his hand..which for some reason I find hillarious, particularily here.
I wonder why COlin was so quiet. He usually isn't this quiet.. :(..Oh well, he still does good.Wait what am I saying, Colin and Ryan are the best thing in the world... lol

I like the american version betta..there was jeff davis, wayne and chip..and the buzzer for the UK version sounds weird..i'd rather see colin older...lol..sry..
Just because they didn't show up in the UK version doesn't mean the UK version as a whole was pointless. There were good comedians on this version as well as the American one.
slattery seems a bit too jittery... it's funny for a while, but after a while it begins to irk me.
lol. i recognize the 'with friends like this, who needs enemas' from when ryan used it later in sfah in the us version. i think he had a nurse's hat??? idk.
the buzzer is very different
