This video is hilarious! The tone of the gentleman's voice acts like this is so simple and great. Meanwhile, interface is showing unresponsive touch screen, lag in response, crappy looking UI design, cheating when it came to capacitive touch keyboard input, no pinch to zoom, no double tap zoom, the list goes on and on....I think what @melisaandreea is pointing out is that even at twice the price, people are willing to pay for iPhone...also it does not help that Nokia is nowhere in US.

Unilike the N95, I think Nokia have compromised on build quality with the 5800. Specs are good though and it has pretty much every gadget you can get on the latest phone.

Ive used both of these and the iphone is in a different league as a touch phone, find this not very responsive, i would still buy the iphone over this, it feels better quality not plastic.

If i wanted a good camera i wouldn't get this as its has no proper flash on so the camera is weak, each have pro's and con's but i would take the iphone still.

I found the touch screen crap until I upgraded to firmware v20. That was a huge improvement. The screen is great now. The camera needs a bit more tweaking though but overall I'd have to say it's better value for money than an iPhone and it has much better features. iPhone lacks lots of the 5800s capabilities, such as MMS, voice dialling, proper bluetooth support, front facing camera, IMPS, media serving, work as modem, fm radio and I could go on... As for build quality, well iPhone wins that.

the n97 will have a touch screen and slide out keyboard but i dont think it needs the keyboard but yea the n model will have a 32gb memory and no card slot wich is better so you could wiat for this or spalsh out on the n97

notta fanboy unless it of nokia,but the iphone ui simply crushes the hell out of it. the lack of spaces between keys in texting mode makes it seem very cluttered.I will say the media,if like my n95-4,on this will be better than the iphone simply because you can edit media on the fly as well as search more efficiently.All in all this phone like other touch phones on the market arent hurting the iphone because jailbreaking patches most issues,but even bigger Apple better supports its device.

You can't say that this Nokia 5800 can chance to iphone 3g, there are alot of mobile touch screen that can chance iphone 3g out there like LG kc910 that have 8 megapixels with the camera ,and Samsung instinct ,or LG VU.

I think that this Nokia 5800 can even chance LG kc910 in my view, so may be it some way off iphone 3g.

personally the iphone wins. Asian market for some reason. I guess they think it's cool and one real reason is because they need stulys to wríte. Stulys used for handwriting.

Thought that's why they are giving the options so you can of course use the full qwerty. If you don't want to use stulys it's not a problem because anything dosen't need stulys in the UI. We just use the full qwerty instead of handwriting.
