How do you get this dialogue? Do you rescue Anora, and then talk to Alisair before he's hardened?

@frogger12346 yes, rescue Anora and then when you talk to her at Eamon's estate, suggest she marry Alistair. this dialogue should trigger with Alistair after that, though there may be one or two queued before it.

If Alistair is unhardened but I am a human noble, can I still become his queen? I chose my origin to this end, but I couldn't bring myself to make him less... like this. <3

As usual I am stumbling upon these great videos of yours and I am never disappointed. Forgive me for asking but when in the game would this conversation show up? I know they are back at camp but what transpired before this scene? I went to nexus to see if it was a mod to install but no luck. Hopefully it will be something I never thought of doing before now. Let me know. I have customized my game so much thanks to the great work of you guys. I play it again and again. Every time is different.

@Alistair1314 thank you! this conversation triggers after you talk to Anora about marrying Alistair. then if you go talk to Alistair he'll say "so I just saw Anora...". If he doesn't say that, there's another conversation queued before this one, so just click on him again and he should bring this up. this dialogue is if he is unhardened.

He says this yet, if you're not a human noble and you make him king, he dumps you because he needs to marry someone who can give him heirs! XD

@Addaisgrl I know, I meant assuming you're a human noble, if he's hardened and you answer right you can keep him. It's kind of silly of him to argue against it since I'm pretty certain the human noble is next in line after him, being a Cousland and all.

@Blarghurface it's a game mechanic for Leliana and Alistair in their personal quests. you can choose to make them more or less badass depending on how you respond to their crises.

@NatalyaCousland no, you just have to have enough Persuade/ cunning to pass the check at the Landsmeet. heh. It's sooo not romantic.

I have a quick question... I just started playing Origins and I keep seeing Unhardened and Hardened in guides, what exactly does that mean?

@Kintha there is a point in Alistair's personal quest where your response to him will change his disposition towards certain things, like the kingship. I dunno where you are in the game so I don't want to spoiler you.

In any case, apparently Alistair doesn't love me as much or maybe it's because I'm human? He only tells me I'm more important than the throne by far. But it's okay, that's still sweet. :) He's so adorable. <3 Anyway, I'm going to stop looking dense on your video now. Thank you. :)

@Addaisgrl I did, but all I keep getting is him talking about how Anora keeps glaring at him and there's an option about how I think they should get married or something, which gets him upset. :( Maybe I just got stuck in a bug. With my luck, it seems like I've been running into all of them.

@RockstarDreams are you getting an option where the PC says "this is important"? it may be that you had another dialogue with him queued before this one. there is one where he says "So I'm guessing someone told Anora I was planning to steal her throne..." Don't mention marrying Anora in that one. Finish that dialogue, then click on him again and he should say "I just saw Anora... strange story..."

For some reason I can't seem to get Alistair to say this to me. :( I didn't harden him yet, and I've been playing around with different conversations with Arl Eamon and Anora but I haven't gotten the combination right or something. We have a romance, and he's at 100. Could you help me, please?

xD well, a DW warrior doesn't wield leather anyway..im a DW warrior and i wear massive Armour, i know leather is better for stam, but with the right rings/belt/necklace..a DW warrior can still wear massive and have a good amount of stamina. Plus with massive, i can work as a tank if Alistair dies.

@Antrix32 I don't use the concept of a tank. Alistair taunts if my mage is being attacked, so he functions as a tank, but my philosophy is to kill everything in sight. High dexterity (which is what he gets from Shadow Armor, great stats) means you don't get hit. I'll take high dex warrior over high con/ armored warrior any day. Just my play style. Besides, I don't much like the big tin cans.

On any mode above normal that not going to work..without a balanced party(ank,Dps,dps, heals) the games going to be really hard. Who do you have as the aggro keeper?

@Antrix32 I concentrate on DPS.  If everything is dead it's not an issue. I don't use a healer, generally, either. You only need healers when you try to play with massive armor tanks too slow to hit anything. lol

@Antrix32 I usually play on Hard these days. But y'know, I'm really not interested in arguing about tactics. I've had a dozen full pt's, I do manage quite well. :D Everyone has different play styles. Mine is to emphasize DPS and crowd control hence no need for the tin cans.

I know it works in this game, but its not a good play-style to get used to, just maxing out DPS in some other RPG's can really screw you over
