I watched a friend play both 1 and 2 and honestly I found it to be a bit repetitive and at times nonsensical. Locations & creatures from greek mythology were placed into the setting seemingly at random. Furthermore, the enemies were very few & it seemed like a poorly built dnd module. Sirens in the desert? Other than being challenging enemies (at one point just spamming them) there didn't seem to be any justification for them being there. Just one example;. They don't make em like they used to.

CONFUSING?! what are you 10? there are games out there 20X more confusing then the little GOW puzzles. I think its boring too, you mash square and triangle all to propel an asshole to godhood solving tedious and boring puzzles along the way. And I actually played it, all the way through to the end. But I'm not binding on you for digging it, lots of people do.

@charliethegent you can just button mash, or do square square triangle, on normal dificulty - but if you set it to hard mode and then the unlocked god mode, then gameplay changes and you have to be more tactical.

you obviously haven't played the game all the way through or on Spartan difficulty. If you did you would know that it's not a hack and slash and you actually need strategy. The story is not shit, it goes deep into the roots of Greek mythology which you obviously don't know a thing about.

I'm glad to see that someone who shares such an interest in this game can promote it in a strong, suitable way that befits the best game ever to come out on the PS2, bar none. God of War II is fun but it's just not as dark anymore and the animation seems just a tiny bit slightly less fluid. Play around with the GoWII blades for a while then start a new game on the first. You'll see what I mean.
