1st the technique is sloppy, look where he is aiming, so the 2nd man capitalizes on sloppy move is able to get feet under him because of the wide lazy throw. notice he deosnt make the same mistake.

It isn't actually a counter at all. The first technique has completely finished by the time the other guy does his.  This is a simply a video of two seperate Kata Garuma.

not really I like the wrestling style one better with an overhook you drop to both knees and twist your body. Anyway thats the version I use.

sorry but this counter looks fare to machanical and does not flow its more staged than any thing else, i have seen points made for when ippon should be called in the intrest of safety i have seen ippon given on younger students as they have full control once there opponent is on there shoulders, but my seniors finish with lightning speed so normal the throw has been finished fully also i have in stilled a diffrent finish for competition use, and it is a valid technique.

Actually The Ippon is called when the opponent is lifted completely off the ground and Tori has control. It's illegal to dump Uke on his back from Kata Garuma.

This is completely wrong ippon is scored for throwing uke flat on thier back with control. As for Kata Garuma being illegal this is once again wrong and it is perfectly legitimate to use Kata Garuma in contest. Im not sure what kind of judo club you train at but it sounds like you are very misinformed reply when you have knowlege on the subject, lol

i dunno if its ileagal butwith standing kata garuma and other such pickups if you lift uke above your shoulders you score ippon, for uke's safety. doesnt happen much in tournaments as tori usually finishes kata garuma on his knees.

Look up more Kata Guruma videos on youtube. In almost all of them Uke lands on their back, on the mat.
