  • Man for man, the IDF is stronger. Bear in mind, Israel is about the size of New Jersey.

  • Anyone know if Michael did pick up the phone and call his estranged sister?

  • If your english atheist and a nationalist..do you sing God save the queen?

  • @chelseaFC1905fan Well, I am an atheist, and a great patriot too. And yes, I do sing "God Save The Queen." God does not really mean the belief in a supernatural entity (or an absolute creator). I suppose I am a kind of pantheist.

  • Peter Hitchens, got disillusioned with Marxism to the point of hating it with a passion, after experiencing it first hand. That lead him to reject utopian theories and embrace tradition.

Christopher Hitchens, the eternal non-repentant middle class caviar Marxist, who embraced that way of thinking not for the love of the working man but for a genetic hatred of Western Civilization, promoted atheism 'til his last cognac ridden breath. He never forgave Christianity for stopping Stalin half way.

  • While I rarely agreed with C. Hitchens, I always found him to be a gentleman who, apart from the ocassional dig at his opponents, always conducted himself in a civilised manner. Therefore, the comment that he would punch someone in the face shows total ignorance on the part of the poster. I'm always amazed by how many people who 'worship' C. Hitchens clearly haven't read a single one of his books or articles and have no understanding of arguments they think they support.

  • @burtingtune And also because he, like all middle class marxists, was a physical coward. He would prob try to manipulate some half wit to punch whomever.

  • @pedroinlondonvideos I disagreed with most of C. Hitchen's politics, however I see no reason to be disrespectful about him personally. In fact, as many of his oponents would agree, he was an articulate and intelligent man who added to any debate. Furthermore, from all accounts he was a physicallt brave man (see C. Hitchens' obituary written by his brother, Peter).

  • @burtingtune I see a lot of reason to be disrespectful about C. Hitchens. Unlike him, many of his oponents are gentlemen (and he wasn't) and would not say out loud what they most prob thought. That he was a dishonest, cowardly debater and a imoral monster. As for the courage Peter referred to, is just one of those things people say in eulogies. "He climbed over some building as a boy". Certainly not as courageous as the young soldiers who died for the lies of the likes of him inIraq

  • 'Have they put something in the water?'

Yes, they have Peter. They've put Fluoride in the water, and a whole range of other radioactive chemicals. The latest is Lithium. Just research it for yourself.

  • The Hitchen brothers great debaters i agree with Peter more but Christopher was a great to listen to we need more thinkers like these.

  • Peter Hitchens is just a sour-faced insecure individual. He seems to think that people need to be organised, presumably by other people. Peter, why should someone else tell me what I need to conduct my life? If I don't hurt anyone, then I can do it my way - thank you very much!

  • @577666 What utter rubbish Peter is a great independent thinker who happens to have come to the conclusion we have taken the wrong path.He has a dry sense of humor seen many debates and have spotted it. A society without the rule of law and common agreed morals will in the end be dominated by the strong thug man needs boundaries in order to be civilsed.

  • @lv4ev5 --I haven't taken the wrong path - others maybe have but I don't tell them how to live their life. If they hurt others then they will be punished. Peter unfortunately mixes religion with his concept of ruling others. Tell me Iv4ev5 what you know about living that I don't. I did not say that there should be no laws but using religion as a benchmark is a folly.

  • @577666 Yes,Peter Hitchens honestly just sounds like a whiny bitter old man. I mean who complains about the ROLLING STONES of all things lolll

And his position on atheists is unbelievably stupid. We're all rich and have servants??? Dohohohoho. And we don't hate God, we hate the believers in God who restrict our rights. I love how this supposedly intelligent man doesn't get such a basic concept.

  • @577666 Because your soul is in jeopardy.

  • Peter Hitchens: "People should probably come [to Britain] for decline tours."

  • God Created a Christian and Atheist out of 2 brothers... Miracle....

  • ...because they dont want him to exist ...what a silly argument -.-

  • @dsturch As far as me suspecting your are bigoted; the only thing I could find, other than him being a Christian, that differentiates him from his brother publicly, is his frequent anti-immigrant sentiment so I gathered that you are probably more in line with that aspect of his nature. Educated guesses are still allowed and please spare me your chav insults.

  • @dsturch No Mr. emotionally unstable; examine our conversation history. Your admiration/support or whatever it is for this gentleman is irrational(considering he is of the opinion that all atheists are fake) and that's why I find your claims to be an atheist suspicious. He also believes that it's a desire to sin with impunity that drives people to atheism. Any reasonable person would question your position on this.

  • So similar yet so different, amazing.

  • @dsturch Losers are pretend atheists who are scared to voice their racist feelings cause they know deep down that they are wrong. Lucky for us your kind is dying. *kiss kiss*

  • @dsturch God! youtube is full of AIRHEADS! You type but say nothing; you are a simpleton emotional wreck that lies and has no comprehension of people's opinions. GO AWAY!

  • @dsturch head.

  • @dsturch Insulting people; swearing at people does not do anything for your argument. You have not made anything clear at all. On the one hand you say you are an atheist but the person whom you respect says your atheism is fake and you are not allowed to participate in consenting activity with other adults. You are making no sense here.If your admiration for him is his anti-immigrant position or anything else in that realm than say so.Be clear cause people are not psychic to know what is in your

  • @dsturch You are being intellectually dishonest again. How can you marry the fact that he is saying consenting adults should not be allowed to do what they wish, atheists are atheists because they don't want authority over their choices and he is a respectable person? You are making no sense here. So please explain to me what(other than religious reasons) would make you think that is worthy of respect?

  • @dsturch I think he's brilliant, too. And he's got the guts to speak out his mind, despite the controversy he may create everytime he opens his mouth.

  • @dsturch You are being dishonest. He is saying that most atheists are atheists primarily because they want to live a life of indulgence and bear no consequences. That's ridiculous; he also infers that we don't have a right to be gay. You are not an atheist.

  • I was born and live in the UK. This a thought provoking interview. It would never be shown on the BBC . It is too politically correct.

  • @edwardszzz How is this interview politically correct? I don't know what is correct or incorrect on the BBC.

  • @IamthePopeRome I was referring to the BBC.Not this interview. I believe the BBC to be the most politically correct organ in the world. For example the Nick Griffin incident on Question Time.

  • “God doesn’t exist and I hate him”

What filthy straw-man. It’s the influence, power, and institution of organised religion that’s hated. Not to mention its ignorance and corruption. It’s vulgar to suggest the nonbeliever doesn’t believe because he wants to avoid responsibility in the same way it would be rude and fruitless to decry a believer on the basis of apparent weakness or that they deny the real world.

    What a ridiculous man.

  • Europeans in the Western world believe in nothing and tolerate everything. No wonder our civilization is on it's last legs.

  • How can Chris' brother be so illogical? How did these two men come from the same womb?

  • @cornflakeclusters I think you need to broaden your horizon beyond dogmantic rationalism. We´re all dogmatic believers in one thing or another, be it humanity, science, rationalism or Jesus.

  • @BadmouseBoy Yeah, it's so silly of me to be rational and think logically, right? I should "broaden my horizons" and start believing in horse-shit, right?

Being rational is not "dogmatic", it's the path to truth.

  • michael coren, is his show from australia

  • @optionsupdate Canada

  • Basically Peter Hitchens grew up to be a geek and Christopher Hitchens grew up to be cool.

  • @TheLogicalKey and you grew up to be a blathering fool.

  • @snowstormcan Well Christopher was a lot smarter than Peter is that's for sure.

  • @TheLogicalKey disagree Peter is just not a typical leftie he grew out of that he views on faith might not be fully grasped but he is very good at exposing the cultural revolution and the effects its had on Britain's moral landscape.

  • How in the world did Coren ever become an interviewer on a major media outlet? He answers the most interesting and provocative of his guests' statements with an awkward and empty-headed, "Hm."

  • @garlicluva Christopher would have punched you in the face for saying that.

  • @smmclaug75 Do you know that for a fact? Perhaps he would, perhaps not. Either way, it's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. So, you know, fuck you.

  • @garlicluva I doubt he would have. Stupid people like you aren't worth wasting much time on. You do a pretty good job of making yourself look bad without any provocation or intervention.

  • @garlicluva when you get cancer, I'll laugh.

  • @garlicluva I wouldn't wish this for anyone, not even for the worst person ever. How can you say this?

  • Britain is only in economic crisis, we arent in a decline.

  • The more I hear from Peter Hitchens, the more I appreciate his brother Christopher.

  • Utter sophistry. The fundamental reason atheists disbelieve that god exists is not, as Peter Hitchens says, "because they want him not to exist." This is a conservative Christian fantasy. The reason for atheist disbelief in god is that there is no good evidence for the existence of any god. Perhaps Peter and his ilk do not believe in Zeus because they don't want him to exist? I doubt that. I suspect Peter disbelieves in Zeus for the same reason I disbelieve Yahweh: lack of evidence.

  • @ticktockman007

Hardly the same haha; if you had any knowledge of Judeo-Christianity or Greek mythology you would realize the foolishness in such statements. Zeus was not at all like the Judeo-Christian God, he wouldn't even be considered a god under our usual definitions, but was more like a super powerful human whom literally lived on Olympus. Since he is not there and there are a slew of philosophical problems for why such a deity cannot exist, he, therefore, does not exist.

  • @ticktockman007 You can go to mount Olympus and find it bare. Can you go to the heavens?

  • Wherever there's a YouTube video discussing religion, you can be certain that a pack of cringeworthy atheist pseudo-intellectuals will flock to it with their boring, recycled diatribes. Embarrassing.

  • @BradlehAaron And they have the nerve to moan about fundamentalism lol.

One get's a sense of the pot moaning about the kettle being black.

  • @BradlehAaron We're just trying to debate.

If you want to simply dismiss every atheist commenting as cringeworthy and psudeo-intellectual, go ahead and be evasive like that

  • Ahaha I just have to laugh at people who assert that western society was founded on Biblical morals.

    Bullshit.

Western society was founded on secular thought and the age of reason.

You want an example of societies based on Christianity? Try the Dark Ages!

And by the way, christian fundamentalism is every bit as dangerous as Islamic fundamentalism.

  • @TheJulsisCool

Ah the so called Dark Ages, the era that gave England it's schools, universities, hospitals, common law, trial by jury, Parliament, Charter of Liberties and Magna Carta.

  • @fredo1070 Yes it's interesting isn't it?

People didn't just rely on the bible to give them an account of laws to follow, they created their own laws...

People didn't just rely on a supernatural being to cast judgement on bad deeds but instead created a system by which they would be judged by a jury of their peers?

  • @fredo1070 Nice post, he forgot to mention about the Roman empire before the dark ages which was a Christian civilisation. The dark ages did not come to pass because of Christianity, but because the barbarian hordes that ravaged the Empire were uncivilised.

  • @MrGilles1990

Very true, but the ignorant generally define the Dark Ages as beginning around 475 and ending around 1450. But look at the era of 500-1000 there was a lot going on in Europe. The Tain, Beowulf (England's national poem), the Nibelungenlied were written down.

Boethius was philosophising, Isidore of Seville wrote his encyclopaedia, Bede wrote his history of the English, Gregory of Tours wrote the History of the Franks.

    And musical notation was invented.

  • @TheJulsisCool Yeah whatever what's an example of an atheist society? the USSR, Cambodia(Khmer rouge), China, Iraq, and the rest of those half-civilised genocidal societies . A Christian fundamentalist will ram down their belief's down your throat(much like an atheist one) while a Muslim one will blow you to bits. Learn History and learn about Christianity before you make laughably ignorant comments.

  • @MrGilles1990 Correlation =/= causation, you know that?

That's like saying Hitler killed jews because he was a christian, isn't it? (Which I'm not supposing at all btw)

That's even assuming that these states were irreligious, when in fact most communist countries simply replace God with their head of state and keep all the poisonous unquestionable dogma that goes along with it.

  • @TheJulsisCool Jesus Christ told us to love our enemies, but Muhammad told his followers to kill the unbelievers. A fundamental Christian will love atheists but a fundamental Muslim will kill and behead atheists. Atheists just have an agenda to attack Christianity.

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 God encouraged rape and genocide (who is the same person right?) also. What's your point? Jesus once said "I come not to bring peace, but to bring a sword" (Matthew 10:34)

Sure I agree that fundie muslims are worse than fundie christians. They're still both bad should not be taken seriously. Atheists respect a person's right to believe in something, but we also maintain that we have a right to ridicule ridiculous beliefs.

  • @TheJulsisCool God never encouraged rape and the genocide was against evil people who refused to repent of their evil ways. And Matthew 10:34 has got nothing to do with fighting because there must be over 100 verses that tells Christians to love everyone. The fact that atheists have to act ignorant and tell demonic lies gives me all the proof I need that atheism is full of horse manure from the pits of hell.

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 Genocide isn't a very accurate term for what happened. The Israelites weren't charged with hunting down and killing every last Canaanite. They were simply to drive them from the land. Those who fled were perfectly safe (at least from the Israelites).

In any case, Matthew 10:34 is describing a family feud type of situation. It has absolutely nothing to do with warfare.

  • @OneEyedJack1970 I agree.

  • @OneEyedJack1970 Genocide isn't a very accurate term for what happened to the jews. The Germans weren't charged with hunting down and killing every last Jew. They were simply to drive them from the land. Those who fled were perfectly safe (at least from the Germans).

  • @DollabiIIz2 Yeah, well now they have the most elite military force on Earth. I don't think they're worried about Germany anymore.

  • @OneEyedJack1970 LOL Israel isn't even part of the United States. You are an idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @DollabiIIz2 I never said Israel was part of the United States.

  • @OneEyedJack1970 The United States has the most elite military force on Earth. Jews have it only in the sense that jews control America.

  • @TheJulsisCool

I suspect that's probably the only biblical quote that you know.

  • @kzearo Umm on what grounds exactly?

The bible is full of contradictory phrases, if you are going to just pick and choose phrases to believe in and follow (which most Christians do, and this is a good thing) then you aren't getting your morality from the book, you're applying an external morality to it.

So the fact that our societies are based on biblical teachings is utter hogwash. Thomas Paine's 'The Rights of Man' had nothing to do with religion.

  • @TheJulsisCool

Because it's one of those 3 of 4 stock quotes which are tirelessly circulated by internet atheists.

It seems to me that your understanding of what the bible is, and what it purports to be, is somewhat skewed. Very few schools of Christian thought would claim that the text is infallible. After all, it has been through endless translations between Hebrew, Greek and Latin.

More importantly still, the text does not claim to be the actual, spoken word of God (unlike the Qu'ran).

  • Peter Hitchens thinks that because we can't explain exactly how the universe came into being, that it is totally rational to believe in bronze age myths from Palestine over 2,000 years ago.

  • @yington Disprove these "myths"

  • @MrGilles1990 Ahahahaha.Really?Wow, you've advertised your stupidity in such efficiency - just 3 words!! You can't "disprove", or rather you can't prove a negative. The ball is in the court of those who purport these myths to be true, to PROVE them correct. But, incase you're struggling to understand, i'll turn it back you : Please can you disprove the following? -Islam -Zeus -Buddhism -Scientology -Unicorns Oh wait? You can't prove they aren't true? Well then they must all be correct.
  • @yington

You can't prove a negative...such stupid hubris, of course you can: a married bachelor does not exist as that is a contradiction. Don't you ever get tired of being a living stereotype? Perhaps you should enroll in a first year logic course. Oh and everyone of those things mentioned can be argued against and many of them have already been disproven-you're either too ignorant or foolish to realize this...perhaps both?

  • @Jim1905

"You can't prove a negative...such stupid hubris, of course you can"

Well this is just far too much comedy to allow to pass by.

So - can you *prove Unicorns do not exist* then?

I have my popcorn ready, and an incredibly comfy seat i'm about to jump into, as I await you presenting myself and the rest of youtube with this.

Just to clarify - you are going to PROVE that UNICORNS do not exist.

Thank vm,and I look forward to the show.

p.s. In case you can't...will you believe in them?

  • @yington

I don't have to prove unicorns don't exist. You said you can't disprove a negative, which is just dumb and ignorant, because you clearly can and I have already shown it to be the case.

  • @Jim1905

So you can't prove unicorns don't exist.

Thus, do you believe in them?

  • @yington Just because someone believes in unicorns does not disprove God. Many rash people believe that other life exists in the universe besides ourselves without a shread of evidence to back it up.

  • @pretoshohmoofc

If you're going to respond to me, at least bother to read what i've been writing on the thread, else bore off elsewhere.

  • @yington How about I ignore you right out?

  • @pretoshohmoofc

Bore off please, stop talking to me, you tool.

  • @yington What did you mean by that?

  • @pretoshohmoofc

    OH PRETOFACE,

    REPENT.

RENOUNCE THE WORM, AND EMBRACE THE ALMIGHTY LORD, WHO SENT HIS SON JESUS TO *DIE* FOR ALL OF OUR SINS, SO THAT WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SPEND ETERNITY WITH JUST THE WORM AT OUR SIDE, BUT THAT WE CAN BE WITH THE LORD FOR ETERNITY, WORSHIPPING HIM IN ALL HIS POWER

    SPREAD THE WORD

    HALLELUJAH

    AMEN

  • It's very distracting to constantly wonder what Christopher would say to Peter's opinion on atheists...

  • now, Coren just needs to have on Peter Brimelow, Steve Sailer, Richard Spencer, etc.

  • hey where did you go? did they closed your channel? if yes they are morons?

  • An amazing 15 minutes demonstrating the Political & Ethical reality of Britain.

May Britain recover & regain her Greatness.

  • Anyone who doesn't liks the English is in luck; in less than a century they will no longer exist. Low birth-rate, self-loathing, cultural deterioration and above all, the rebellion against all morality and doctrine that worked as a society which ultimately came from religion is th death-knell. Brittain should get used to Shari'a, because that will be their replacement.

  • Not a good job trying type-cast those who don't believe in Fairy Tales. Religious types, from my experience are usually the ones with all the skeletons in their closets. Pete, maybe you're getting old and stiff. Mr.ChickenLittle, is it that bad in Merry Olde Engleand? ...found it awfully hard to get all the way to 14:50 listening to this sadsack...

  • @dsturch That sums it up for me too.

  • Great interview.

Ta - ta, Britain; nice to have known you when you WERE great.

    Thanks, Matt.
