The ring doesn't suit bat because he's always using the shadows and being the night. A superpower that makes shine green light just isn't his thing. It'd take him out of his comfort zone.
well, if a non-Corps member can't use a Lantern's ring, what good does it do Bat man to possess one if he can't use it? And since the armor he's wearing was created by other Lantern's rings, he'd still be vulnerable to yellow-based attacks (Unless the writers re-wrote the GL Corps weakness or I mis- understood the clip and/or your reply).
To Battlwguild: I don't know about Deathstroke, but I DO know of a time (in the comics) where Hal Jordan (as GL) gave Superman(as Clark Kent) his ring, after getting his butt kicked by Star Sapphire, and told him to take over until he recovered enough to continue. I suppose a non- Corps member CAN use the ring IF the previous owner gives his permission.
@ChupiTheTerrible Ah, so that hasn't happened in this universe yet? I knew he was a green before a yellow, i just thought that happened way in the past.
Though it states that a non-green lanter cant use a lantern ring...in one of the comics didnt DeathStroke (while holding onto Hal Jordan?) try to take control of a lantern ring through sheer will power as a test to see if he could?
Hmm, so I'm guessing that Batman isn't an actual Green Lantern, but he has been given temporary Green Lantern powers?
It kind of reminds me of what happened in "Blackest Night" when the members of the various Corps were given authority to make suitable candidates "deputy Lanterns" and temporarily issue them Power Rings, like Wonder Woman becoming a Star Sapphire.
As for Batman with the ring, well, in one Elseworlds comic Hal let him try it on, and let's just say the result wasn't very pretty.
The corps doesnt want someone to join them who actually has an imagination. I believe Batman summed it up best once about Hal: "He has the power to do anything he wants with that ring... too bad he has the imagination of a goddamn potato".
@antihero276 That's a good one, but I think part of the problem with the Rings is that you can't just put one on. I don't remember this too well, but don't candidates have to be chosen? Although, it's very well known that Hal Jordan was chosen "on the spot" to be a Green Lantern by his dying predecessor. That aside, Bruce has a point, but the time Hal did let him try it, Bruce couldn't let go of his internal pain, anguish and rage, which ultimately made him incompatible with the power ring.
@7ferret7 Oh Sinestro only becomes a villain after the Guardians of the Universe discover that he's been using his ring to enforce tyranny on his planet of Korugar.
@HalfTangible Perhaps not, but remember, like Superman's weakness to kryptonite, the Lantern's ring is still vulnerable to anything colored yellow. Unless, for the sake of the series, the writers have changed that.

why isnt batman worthy enough to wear the ring? he's fearless, and has incredible strength in willpower
HT003 6 months ago
@HT003 Yeah, but he won't do what the Corps ask him to, now will he? He's the GODDAMN BATMAN!!!
ClockworkGearhead 5 months ago
@HT003 It is something inherent. Batman sort of "became" fearless after surviving his fear(childhood trauma) which stays buried in his subconscious.
