QUESTION: If you do $20,000 or more and 200 or more transactions with paypal in one year, paypal sends a 1099 to the IRS. If this applys to you mike, how do you get receipts for what you buy from private sellers on say craigslist? If you don't have receipts, you are going to paying tax on the entire $ amount you take in as opposed to just the profit if you have receipts. Without receipts, you are almost definitely screwed.

@MoneyManMichael anything that goes into paypal is on record. once it makes it into your account, its recorded. like i said, if you exceed $20,000 and 200 transactions in a year now, it gets reported to the IRS.. its a fact. and trust me, when you are doing big ticket items on ebay, that $20,000 get racked up real fast.

@TheToasteeee Well, #1 I like to help people out. #2 My videos aren't even getting 500 views yet, so I doubt anyone in my area even sees them, and even if they do, chances of them doing it are slim to none, and even then, this is a very very very large area.. so it probably wouldn't hurt at all. It takes a pretty solid bankroll to run this business daily. I find myself broke a lot with $5,000 worth of phones lol.

@TaidoCat You have got to be patient sometimes. Post the "I buy smartphones" ad on craigslist and people will come to you. Really keep your eyes peeled for the broken phones. They are the ones that are the easiest to profit on.

@WBOaks The thing that killed dropshipping for me is that suppliers run out of stuff sometimes and the buyer flips out, buyers are such assholes these days on eBay they want a HUGE discount with the same level of service you get from a store front. Everyone cannibalizes prices until you are on a 5% profit margin and then it's not even worth the risk anymore........If you buy light bulk and hold product yourself it really can work.

2. Doesn't eBay have a stupid limit on selling 1 cell phone at a time or something? How do you get around that?

3. Is there some sort of price table that you keep that tells you approximately how much to buy and sell specific phones for?

#1 - Yes it is a very reliable source of income, but remember, it takes money to make money! So if your bankroll is small, sell some of the crap laying around that you don't need to get started.

#2 - Yes eBay is retarded and strict on new accounts, so if you have a fresh account you will have to start out selling very little and fight with them. But don't worry, you aren't limited to only cell phones. Research clist!
