I want to start using the pack because I had a sore throat and it was getting better until my lymph nodes on my right side of my neck swelled up. By the jaw bone and ear area. Googled it and castor oil packs popped up. Do I still apply it to the abdomen? Can I use this remedy for that?

@MichelleBurt005 Because the lymph node swelling may indicate an infection, you should see a doctor. You may certainly use the pack in addition to medical care! Primary use of the pack would be abdominal to move the lymph even in this case. You may also use it on the jaw/ear/neck area – warm it first, but do not apply additional heat here. Good luck to you!

@edgarcaycetv Cayce was also very specific that one should not take more than the individual’s body can assimilate at a time, and that it is often better to take ½ teaspoon every 2-4 hours than to take more than the individual body can digest. The slightly larger quantities after a castor oil pack were recommended also to soften and flush small stones from the gall bladder.

@teresagirl100 Since one of the purposes of the castor oil pack, per Cayce, is to remove toxins from the liver and to tone it, I would certainly try it. The important thing here is that it can do no harm – and may help.

The castor oil pack is safe to use on everyone. Many people claim excellent results on animals as well. The only part of the procedure that may need to be varied is the use of heat. Heat should not be used on the pack if the pack is being used on a joint knee, shoulder, etc, and heat should not be used at any time heat is contraindicated for the bodys condition fever, edema, etc. As always, please check with your doctor.
