I just found out that the reason "Firefly" got on the air at all is because Fox didn't want two sci-fi shows so they sacrificed "Dark Angel." Jessica Alba went on to superstardom in movies. Michael Weatherly went on to suprestardom on "NCIS." Nathan Fillion went to a real network. What does this tell us about Fox?

I agree about the whole ruggedly handsome thing, but to say the Whedon is wrong! sacralidge!! But twas westons that hurt him to make such a hat ruling, some bloke nicked some other blokes hat & he never foragve him. Besides, these are SPACE cowboys, more space ship than dusty fronteer, so not so much the need. (be kind to the Joss, he keeps getting canceled!) ;-(

@Swenglish Maybe on "Firefly," but in the Wild West, good guys wore white hats, bad guys wore black ones. Though this didn't seem to apply on the greatest Western of them all, "Bonanza." @sawyersusie Whedon is wrong: In the Western genre, EVERYBODY wears hats. Unless they've been shot off. So if you're not wearing a hat, you're NOT a cowboy -- space or otherwise. Besides, it adds to that whole "ruggedly handsome" thing.
