yeh my iguana lived for three years after i bought him from a pet store. his nose riped off and i had to care for it for about 5 months. it finally healed and i thought that was my last problem. a few weeks from then i found about 50 mites and about one under every scale. he got weak and almost died. we finally got rid of his mites but that was not the end. the uvb bulbs effectiveness wore down and he got weak and died. that's my story.

@KRUKA666 You can buy a special night light made just for herps. It is basically a "black light" but it provides minimal UV and adequate heat (not a black light you find at a hardware store). If you ask your local pet store they may have these in stock, or you can ask them to order one in for you. (It's best to have two lighting solutions in your Iguana's house, one for day and one for night.) Reptile UV makes the best lizard lights I've ever bought, (MegaRay bulbs) more expensive but worth it.

Your last question in the video, no. It looks like it is comphy in its home. I really do miss them and all the other 52 lizards I had, by a tail count, 54 if you counted heads.

Do you have names for yours? I had a mountain dragon (out of four) that did answer to his name, George. He was a cool beast that always came to me when I called his name, and ignored me otherwise. I was very sad the day my big Iguana bit him. It was just cruisin around and the big guy was a little moody I guess.
