  • I did a video of him performing This Old Dark Machine at the Castle Hotel pub in Manchester on 01/03/11, check my YouTube channel.

  • Looks like one person is outvoted!

  • Another perfect song from James Vincent McMorrow. Thanks man !!!!

  • Heard this song in work today, fucking class act. First song I have heard of his.

  • He was brilliant on Other Voices on RTE 2 Last night :D

  • Proud to hear an Irish musician being played on the English Radio 1, finally some of our hidden talent has broken the boundary of the island and can be appreciated to the millions it deserves, around the world.

  • this is just too beautiful. a british bon iver?

  • @hypersauce james vincent mcmorrow is an irish boy, from dublin, not british at all.

  • @hypersauce james vincent mcmorrow is an irish boy, from dublin, not british at all.

  • @pampwdj i knew he was irish, i didn't know he wasn't from northern ireland.

  • thumbs up if you adore your country and everything it stand for. . .

  • @whizzhead i swear this is folk?

  • I saw him last december in the sugar club and he was rubbish. it was a waste of time going to him, he was forever tuning his guitar and wasnt able to connect with the audience. Worst gig i was ever at.

  • @jamesycarr What a pity it is, that these new pup musicians tend to tune their guitars to suit song style.

  • @jamesycarr If you want to say it like that, yet miss out on his obvious huge talent, so be it. You could use Nick Drake to point out the obvious dichotomy of pure genius having a minus side effect, he is a purr fecked chinnist and probably unsure of certain things, just like the rest of us. Stage presence can be a tool used to cover up the lack of talent in an individual, he has no need for it. He was not rubbish, your nit pickery had to make it that way, so you pop off now and examine ureslf.

  • examine myself?personal attacks are unnecessary here davidoffon.im not talking negatively about you but of mcmorrow.im my opinion mcmorrow wasted my time of driving for 3 hours to the gig as I feel he didnt give it his all and seemed to rush through his songs as if he wanted to be somewhere else.this is an opinion that i dont shove down the throat of someone else but am generally expressing. i think you should go back to writing your blog wnd eating jelly beans to the tune of drifting into love.

  • @jamesycarr What you are saying about him is indicative of some one who is looking to blame others for the way you "choose " to feel, you are funny here or wherever it is you share your thoughtlessness, as to the necessity of pointing something out to you, I'll decide that. You managed to nullify your opinion by not really having one of any validity. So you head off to a park dlace to pick the tragic mushrooms outta your ass. Your driving abiity would be improved by going forward in lifes teme

  • @davidoffon . wow you're like plato....deep, you've got me all in 1.

    end.

  • @jamesBycarr(three hrs.) I'm terribly sorry, I didn't realise it was an IQ thing. Condolences to the remaining one. As for Plato, the past is a great invention, but could it live with your modernity. 3 hours is such a long time, can you bite your nails safely while driving backwards? I was just think how much I'd love living with you, dying on stage. But that is past now. The future without you is going to be difficult, I'm sure.

  • Respond to this video...p.s. I find your last sentence deeply offensive, there is no need to point out the colour of either the pot or the kettle, I'm laffing now as it is the only approprite response to your tragedy.

  • saw him in INEC Killarney in June, there was only like 30 people there, very intimate gig, it was amazing to hear in him live, should a godly voice

  • electric picnic set was amazing

  • total chillout at him in oxegen everyoe was sitting

  • :'( I'm Crying

  • @TheNavyOne: I saw him in a pub six months ago, I said to this guy, to watch for people crying, just one girl, uncontrollably inconsolable, she didn't even know what was wrong, or had gone on. This rarely ever happens, I told him he was to be compared to a Young Neil, he was kind of, don't be ridiculous, my ears are never ridiculous, my mouth often, but there you go, lets soften the flow, let the mind moisten the meander, we all know.

  • Unbelievable... great gig at oxegen was delighted to see him.

  • cant compare music like this,to the manufactured shit, thats out there these days !

  • saw james in killarney last nite what a gig !

  • I was driving for work and just heard this guy live on Today FM. I had to wait in the car for the song to end to hear who was singing - ABSOLUTELY amazing - so haunting. I'm converted! The talent this man shows is brilliant - love it, love it.

  • One word can describe him. WOW.

  • God I love this song so much. Everytime I watch the Bernardos ad with this song it brings me to tears :(

  • Amazingly brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Being Irish i feel slightly ashamed of that fact that i have only heard this man a few days ago for the first time, we are producing some nice new talent here i gotta keep my ears open from now on, this is such a beautiful song.

  • simply amazing...

  • Ireland and especially Dublin is exploding with the finest musical talent to be seen and heard for many years. This is a fantastic way to recover from the gangsters who roamed for many years. In facy , as of this moment I believe it to be reaction to the desperate times we are facing, while the fat Shats are still free to rub our noses in it.

  • @davidoffon Ireland is a great country! Have been there lately and people are so nice! :)

  • @ireallylovethisworld which part were you in? 0.0

lived here for 22 years rarely meet nice people...

  • @SkeletorOnline

they were greeting us, smiling and so- Mullingar and the surrounding

maybe it's just because i was looking friendly (?) =)

  • @davidoffon

Serious creativitiy coming out of Ireland at present!! Its great to see bands that make me shiver again!!! Shivers down the spine!! A low point in economy spells more time for people to actually think, experience and pen fabulous songs!!

Take a break and sit and appreciate!!

See you up front at the fests!!
