  • what kind of trailer do u use on the chatterbait? also what lake is that?

  • How heavy was the chatter bait you were using?

  • 100% catch and release.

  • I hate people that keep beautiful bass like those. Let them go so they can have kids. This is the reason alot of lakes are being emptied, cause ignorant people keep every fish they catch.

  • Stuck a 9.1 yesterday in a tourney on Lake Santa Fa (650Arce Natrual lake thats spring fed) on a Chatter bait that I have a guy custom build for me. This lake most times takes 20-22LBS for 5 to win however that single fish took Big fish and big bag lol.. It was a bad day to say the least heavy wind dirtied up the water reel bad and a 20 degree temp drop in 2 days killed the bite.. C/baits will catch them many ways and a bait that I can fish year round at some lakes and fill quick limits.

  • thumbs up 4 white sock and white shoes!

  • Yeah chiefs! :D haha nice guys!

  • best time to fish chatterbaits? I picked two up today. A big sized one, and the smaller mini one.

  • vhatter bait are the new top bait so dont go around and be like chatter bait this chatter bait that so keep it a secret that it is a top lure to the few poeple that know so we will be looked at like chanmps lol

  • wow that fish was handled pretty roughly......

  • @beboposaur LOL so what?

  • HA!!! I know right where that spot is. I bank fish from time to time right over where you boat was pointed at the 1 minute mark. Caught a few nice ones back there.

  • I cant believe every fish you catch goes in the live well and what the hell the chatter bait is no new bait? you act like its amazing to catch a bass on a chatterbait..... amateurs

  • I cant use 10 lb anything ... its so weak especially trilene ... 12 lb or nothing ... i can use 10 lb fireline though .... sufixx all the way

  • net landings=really fucking lame

    use your hands puss.

and before you say it, yes, i have had plenty of 6+lb fish on, and i have landed EVERY ONE by hand. nets are for women who are landing a trout. . .or a bass with a face full of treble hooks.

  • @timwins31 Really cuz FLW tour uses nets all the time... Yea ok maybe they have health prob with the back and cant bend down or they just want to use the net. Yo Internet trolling PuhC bitch. Got nothin better to do but talk shit on a video, shouldn't you be out fishing like a man useing your hands hahaha PuhC

  • @timwins31 i always carry a net, cause where i fish it's not unheard of to hook an 8-10 lb walleye, and you don't want to get those in the boat without a net.

  • lord forbid you throw it back in so someone else can catch it.

  • what reel is that does it have megadrag? megforce

  • first time using a chatterbait i caught the fish of a lifetime 8 lbs 3 oz

  • amateur tour

  • Haha it seems like the guy in the back of the boat never catches any fish.

  • not sure why you are even throwing them in the livewell then. if you are not fishing a tournament, release them right away

  • dam you love tht lake and spot dont you....

  • Bassssssman, you do good work. Ignore the negative. In fact, ignore everything and keep doing what you like doing. If you are trying to make a business out of this, then, I guess you have to listen to your "customers"

  • Chatter Bait last night at 7:00 PM on white Chatterbait landed a 6lb. New Jersey so im happy

  • NIce video..I'm only a few miles south of ya in Lakeland ,Florida.

  • I fish chatterbaits alot and have found that they not only catch alot of species but also you can catch bigger bass at night. I have caught multiple 3 and 4 pounders fishing at night with a green pumpkin chatterbait. I use the stock trailer, it seems to work well. I have also found that if you reel at a slower pace and suddenely speed up to as fast as you can reel for 2 or 3 cranks, you can get a lot more strikes. Tight lines everybody.

  • wat kind of tralier do u use on ur chatterbait?

  • Man my biggest bass ive ever caught came off a Zman Chatterbait white with a lil trailer attatched that came with the lure ... 6 pounds 3 ounces .... may i suggest always use stren line im telling youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • nice vid......i pretty much fish all the so call lakes...heard alot about it butt never been to pudding stone...where is it

  • do youjust out n the stock trailer or do you use a craw on the back

  • You need to learn how to handle your fish.

  • @beboposaur Oh fuck off i bet you do the same thing

  • Great video keep them coming!!!!

  • you act like fish are real people!

  • NO fish are not real people, but real people can ruin fishing spot's by not acting appropriate.

  • I have been fishing tournaments for 18 years and I know how to handle my fish just fine. Everyone that knows me knows that I release my fish 100%. Anytime you see me pulling my boat out of the water you can come up to me and check my live wells and I mean that.

  • why do you release 100%?? i love bass :)

  • That was not me that drop the fish it was my friend and the fish was heavy and shook. Can you tell me that you have never had a fish shake loose from your hands or have done something out fishing that someone would make a stupid comment about:?. I was talking to a Pro at Angler's Marine today and he said it happens all the time at tournments. How does dropping them create unnecessary holes in there mouth? By the way the holes will heal. I don't need someone telling me how to handle my fish.

  • @basssssman AGREED.

  • little white chatter baits r the best

  • great vid bro, i love chatterbaits! they can be fished anywhere and so many ways

  • hey im a bank fisherman and i bet i care about the fish just as much as a boat fisherman its just i cant afford a boat lol but i can catch bass from the bank so im satsified even though a nice bass boat would be nice

  • @dodgetruckn15 get an ultralight setup and a cheap kayak and you'll be set :)

  • why did you put her in your livewell? it wasnt on a bed? so even if you go release it somewere else that same time of year the next she will move back to that spot the (damn) soo? your story is a little mixed up.

  • Having a 50k boat has nada to do with how you treat fish...just gives the boat owner a better chance at gettin fish vs a shore fisherman.. sheesh.

  • chatterbait is awesome, i used it in the last 5 minutes of my trip(caught nothing else all day) and my friend and i both caught a nice size large mouth

  • BTW, can't quite tell by the videos, but it seems like you are boating most your fish in the morning hours, am i right ?

  • Morning and Mid afternoon

  • @basssssman You should try doing chatterbaits night fishing, that is THEE best thing for night fishing is a black chatterbait

  • What line do you guys throw your chatters on? I normally use flouro in clear water and braid in weeds.

  • I use 10lb Izorline. I used to use Trilene

  • @basssssman i use izorline..the braid ..and it is THE BEST.. im excited to try the flourcarbon like version.

  • Great videos guys! I love watching your vids, Keep it up!

  • What type line are you using?

  • i agree u should release big fish

and maybe for those who eat fish

keep some of the smaller ones for dinner

but please release all the big ones thanks!

  • I don't keep any fish. 100% catch and release.

  • he could have been fishing a tournament..

  • Again I release 100%. I don't even like to eat fish. Tournament fisherman. How many times do I have to say this.

  • I agree with you about the bank fishermen taking how big fish. If you think about it most people using the bass boats care a lot more about the bass they catch than the bank fishermen, thats why they bought the expensive boats.

  • That's bull. I don't own a boat, but i'm as hardcore as it gets, 100% catch and release, the only difference between me and the tournament people is the boat...

nice fish in this vid Mr., puddingstone is the only lake i ever fish lol.

  • ooh never mind sorry =S

  • in non catch and release lakes, whats wrong with keeping big fish? you're taking out the big ones and that provides an opportunity for smaller ones to become larger. Recent florida rains bought the lake by us up and me and my friends dad just caught a few for a fish fry.

to vid: chatter bait is awesome just pulled to bass out with the silver chatter stick. one 3 lbs the other 5+ and a bluegill

  • @picsparks it is better tokeep smaller fish(it is actually better to keep no fish but if you do) because the larger help better with the size population. The larger a fish is when it spawns the larger it's offspring can potentially grow to. And Ofnaman i agree there are to many peoplekeeping more than a limit and they dont even abide to the minimum or maximum keeper size. There are people at a local lake of mine that i have seen with over 50+ sunfish bass and crappie.

  • I called the law and a game warden came out and busted his ass! the warden told me he wrote him a Ticket for every fish he had I believe 32 fish.. he has I'm sure he was wrote over 2000 in tickets! Every time I see him on the lake a troll over close to him and let him know If I see him keeping ANY fish Ill call the law again! (the lake is a Catch and release only lake) I really hate fucks that kill bass or BIG crappies or BIG bream. keep the little pan fish if ya want but let the biggys go! fuck

  • Yeah I agree you dont see ppl in Bass boats keeping them I wouldnt keep one for nothing! I'm 100% Catch and release on ALL fish even bream.. but those fucks sitting on the bank (Asians and blacks mostly) are keeping everything they catch it makes me sick.. Theres a guy that was at a lake I fish its small but loaded with 2-4 LB bass and a fun lake! ive had many 100 fish days. there was this old black guy sitting on the bank with a cain Rod and he lifted his stringer up and had about 30 on it

  • Y does race have to play a factor u must hate yourself and have to belittle others to feel like a man

  • @bmkilla11 or maybe he is just explaining the situation..and giving info..just like throwing a white chatter bait or pink spinner bait..just details of the story...

  • why keep?

    tourney or eat

  • 100 percent catch and release. You guys should care more about the guys on the shorelines that are keeping large fish and taking them home. Not the guys that are in bass boats. I have seen guys all over the points at Castaic, puddingstone,Perris etc. taking large fish home.

  • looking good dude nice work

  • which lake is that

  • Puddingstone

  • Yes

  • why are you putting in livewell?tournement?

  • 1/2 OZ Shad color

  • not to be mean or nothing but dude u gotta keep a secret , but ya holy SHIZZ this bait works like no other my buddies and i have caught bass pike bull heads and but not any walleyes anyelse caught some walleyes on a Chix? (Chatterbait)

  • hey talking about how great Chatterbait are i bought me one and man when these fish get on fire this bait man it just kill them!!!!

  • My partner and I had a night tournament and caught 3 fish for 20.70 and two of them where caught on a black and blue chatterbait.

  • cool i bought the blue one and man these bass very love it, hey had u try crank bait

  • Common color selection would be as follows;

    1. Sunny Days/Clear Water: White or White/chart

    2.Sunny Days/ Slightly Stained Water: White/chart

    3. Overcast Days: Black/blue or Black

    4. Dusk/Night: Black/blue or Black

    5. Heavily Stained/Extremely Muddy Water: Black/blue, Black, or a Firetiger pattern

Thats the basic color "rule" for these type of baits imo, and this can also include spinnerbaits. Although it gets more in depth when your trying to match the hatch.

  • Does it matter what color you use? Can you explain which colors are necessary for weather situations and such?

  • i was thinking about buying some of these now im definatly going to lol

  • Why use the net on every fish? You're going to lose some, especially when you swipe the net at them. They need to be ready to be netted.

  • stop trying to act like you know what your talking about how would you loose them

  • Hey man, nice fish, just bought one of these, I didn't do any great with the white/chart and I prefer a spinnerbait over it, but I've heard alot of good things about the original chatterbait in black/blue being great at night and overcast days.. obviously, just wanted to know whats ur favorite trailer with them, particularly for the black chatterbaits.

  • Man... you real it in like nothing and you have the rod odnw in the water,,,the hook set must be frakin awsome!!

  • what color chatterbait works the best?

  • I like the shad colors.

  • how would you fiash them

  • It depends on where the fish are. If shallow, I will slow roll them off the bank. If they are deep I will use the count down method until the lure gets down to the proper depth. If you watch me I am counting the bait down.

  • how good is chatterbait

  • I have caught alot of fish on them. My partner and I took 7th place out of 45 boats with 5 fish for 15lbs in a Tournament at Lake Castaic in CA. I have found out the original Chatterbait is the only one I like. The blade is thinner then most copies and the hooks are the best.

  • is that a ranger z series thats wat my stepdad has and it looks like the same setup

  • It's a 1997 518 Commanche.

  • kewl

  • my friend and me were fishing the other day him with the chatter bait and me with the banjo minnow and he landed a 7 pounder but then he didnt land anything else and i pulled out two 3 pounders and a bunch of little ones

  • great

  • you are REALLY dedicated ... do you fish tournaments ?

  • Yes,

    Mostly team tournaments.

  • Nice fish again. Do you guys fish that lake all the time? Also, I noticed that you put every fish in the livewell after you land them. What is the average water temp. there? Here it is in the upper 80's to low 90's right now.

  • Great video!! but the fungi fish your buddy caught is probably history now. 6:31 minutes into the video it shows your friend holding him by the gills. I can only hope you showed him the proper way to hold a fish that will be cnr'd.

As we both know that holding him by the lip and not the gills will help to ensure the fish will survive to be caught another day. :)

With the chatterbait, will any color work during the day or light colors during daylight and dark at night?

  • dude, you haev teh nicest fucking boat.

    god you're lucky.

  • did u use the chatterbait the whole time?

  • No, I change baits all the time. The Chatterbait was working good that day. I Try it everytime I go out.

  • how long do you work with one lure before swithing to something else?

  • I will go down a bank with one bait and then go back agin with another bait if the first bait did'nt work.

  • i see... well im new to lake fising and fishing with lures so i'm trying to get a feel for when to switch up. thank you for the info... after watching so many of your videos with chatterbait i went out and bought some. i visitied the new bass pro shop in rancho cucamunga, awesome store by the way and they carried it. thanks again

  • Upper or lower? Can't tell..

  • This is not Castaic.

  • Cool video. What state are you fishing in?

  • California

  • What technique are you using with the chatter bait?

  • Count the bait down and then slow roll it. Sometimes I twitch it like a zoom fluke.

  • wow,you really tear them up on that cahtterbait!

  • WoooW HoooH Dad..... Great Fish

  • What size Chatter do you prefer? Cool video...

  • hey its me neil C. again, my mom wants your number we dont have it anymore

  • I use the 3/8 oz in the shad color. I put a zoom superfluke on it.

  • hey this is neil carwile and my buddy jeremy poe, that was a sick video you gatta take me and my freind jeremy fishing with you, we went today and cought a 2 in a half pound bass it was alright

  • Nice job bro. That lake can be tough

  • why were you slapping the water at 3:00????

  • I don't understand the question?

  • you were slapping the water with your rod about 3 min into the video, and did it again

  • becuase you get weeds and algae on your baits. slapping the water removes the gunk from lure.
