However there was an idea that there would be a sequel about Gaston's brother seeking out the Beast's character for revenge against his family. Obviously, no longer being a Beast, he needed a name and was dubbed Adam. However that sequel was scrapped in favor the the Enchanted Christmas and he has remained forever nameless.

And even others Believe his name was supposed to be Phillipe (don't know why)
