Beyond.... what the hell? Do you really think Steve Maxwell needs your input to correctly instruct a client. There are a million ways and a million concepts/techniques you can use when lifting a weight but in the end.... its really just moving a weight from point A to point B.
@pupnirn There are many ways to perform a vertical lift, however, the more you twist your hand as you go up, the less you engage the chest. Dragan Radovic invented this method of training to be the most complete and efficient, therefore, following his teaching, I insist in giving my input for the best way of performing a lift, regardless who is trying to teach it.
@bosszeroboss I never said I knew more than Steve Maxwell, and I thank him very much for promoting my sport (fitness4x4), but yes I do have more experience than Steve regarding vertical lifting ! ..... and I can also do some serious shit when it comes to bodyweight training too !
i have been doing these lifts for about four years now and have met dragon on a few occasions, he is opening a fitness camp in montenegro and i went out there for a week to help out and do some training, dragon and his son rajko have been a real inspiration to me and i thank the for the fitness i have achieved. by the way i can manage 400 reps with 20kg weights now so theres proof this training works.
I only do it now and again. I find kettlebells give me a better workout for my goals. But I do give this exercise to my personal training clients and that's why this demo clip is here.
For you, use adjustable DBs and as you reach your desired number of reps, bump the load up in very small increments, like 1.25 lbs. at a time.
I met Dragan and competed against him at the seni. And was whipped lol. But I have been following his training mantra. However I find if I do not use enough weight I dont get tired or get much cardio. And If I use heavier weights I get much more out of breathe but cant do enough lifts to get a good workout. I am struggling to find an optimum weight. How about you ? Or do you not do this as a regular workout. Thanks man keep up the training

What are those weights called that you are using and generally how much do they run for?

Maxwell you remind me of Jack Lalanne... and the way he created unique and modern ways of working out.
