OH MY I GOT IN TROUBLE SINGING THIS SONG AT A SENIOR SR CENTER THEY WON,T LET ME COME BACK HAD A LOT OF FUN THO I WASN,T DRINKING BUT THEM OLD BIDDIES ACUSSED ME ANY WAY I WAS JUST REMEMBERING SONGS OF YRS GONE BY LOL
I grew up in the 70's but my Dad had restored two gramophones, a tabletop and an upright and he had a huge collection of 78's including this song, he used to sing it to my sister when she was just a baby and it would just make her laugh the way he sang it, Dad's gone now, I cherish those memories and days... Thanks for the memories :)
@Lukeypoo91 : Dave Matthew's version sounds like the Backstreet Boys are doing it. The only slightly comparable version to Tex's is this one: /watch?v=KWFJdu1lURM
my dad sang this song to us all of kids when we were young (I see he did a very good impression of it) Now, I phone him to sing it to my kids. :D
