@turbonelli His brother Michael Haydn frequently wrote fugal finales to his symphonies - although this might mean it took even more courage for Joseph to do it and try to live up to the standard his younger brother set! Mozart was a big fan of Michael Haydn's fugues and this inspired him to write the immense fugue at the end of his 41st symphony.
I can't even think of a comment to put to describe how beautiful this music is.
