i can see you can't tell the difference, but the bun she is doing is a korean hairstyle.

japanese bun are high and puffy on the top.

korean bun is low and loose (like the one above).

from what i know, the japanese bun is more popular in asia than the korean bun, you can see taiwanese/chinese artist rockin' the style.

and ppl name those buns "asian hairstyle" cuz those ppl probably couldn't tell the difference between chinese, japanese, korean, etc!

@Miyavi16v Tie hair into a loose ponytail. Then split your tied hair into 2 parts. Fold top and bottom parts inward towards your head (like in the picture). Take your second hairtie and put it over the folded parts. Use a bobby pin if necessary for more security after. Then spread the circle of the bun evenly to get the finished look like in the picture.

I think the key is to have 2 hairties ready. One to tie hair in regular ponytail. The other to hold the bun (when you split the pony in two). Hope this helps someone.

you split it in half, fold it over, use another ponytail to hold the position together, while it's in half, bobby pin the top half to your like... head hair, do the same to the bottom, spread the bun hair to make it a full circle (having some on the sides), and youre done.
