i got this link from a forum .. you have a sankor right?? .. i got my sankor 16f (rear diameter 42mm) today and when i use a 35mm f2 i get a lot of vignetting, the vignette goes away on about 90 or 100mm ... my question.. how do you get the wide angle without vignettes?? or did you just cut off the vignettes from 1080 to 720?? nice footy btw.. those lens flares and how the lights come in is SO NICE!
This wasn't shot with a Sankor... I put a generic 1.33x adapter on the Nikon 35/2.8 lens. The rear diameter is quite big, think it is 52mm so there is virtually no vignetting. I didn't have to crop the image.
Hi, what kind of lens did you use? What is the brand? I'm asking because its very unusual to get exactly 2.37:1 size out of 16:9 DigiPhoto cam. Did you made some modification of the lens? How was it mounted to the Nicon?
Was some post-processing necessary? Like scaling or cropping of the video? Many thanks in advances for your answers. The video you did is excellent.
It's stated right at the beginning, generic (no brand name) 1.33x anamorphic adapter. So you get exactly 2.37:1. It screws directly onto the Nikon lens I've used, no adapters needed, no modification. Post processing, obviously you have to unsqueeze the image to get the proper aspect ratio back, other than that no post processing.

Hi, what did you use to unsqueeze/decompress the video ratio? Did you do it in final cut? Thank you
