  • We can dance, we can dance, everybody look at your pants!

  • Well, people who say today's music is crap only watch bad tv and listen to bad radio stations witch only play what major recording companies want we listen to and buy... If these people stop being so lazy and start researching and listening to "non-mainstream" stuff, I am absolutely sure they will change their minds.

  • why is it everytime i come watch a video from the early days people are saying the same thing "better than the crap today"?? its not crap just because its not your style..you grew up in the 80s..stop crying cause hair metal and the saftey dance are not popular..im 20 i respect all genres of music and all times.......im sure stuff that came out in the 80s werent all winners..stop making the 80s out to be so awesome...its over..move on or at least respect my generation

  • @17dioneforyou - I hear ya! Love music from every genre & every generation, it makes you a more interesting person or at the very least keeps the neighbors scratching thier heads when they 'don't get what you're into'. + its hugely funny to read all the comments from the 80's genners who were blowing off all the people who grew up in the 70's when they'd bash that gen's music, now they're starting to sound like the fogeys, themselves;)

  • @wings744 agreed

  • @17dioneforyou Music from the 60s, 70s, 80s = the best. I don't think today's music is horrible, just comparatively worse. Also, speaking as a person who grew up in the 80s, I don't think everything about today's generation is worse. I think t.v. is better now than in the past. Of course, a lot of shows from the 80s have sentimental value to me, but I think today's t.v. is cooler/more clever/better. But music? The past has the edge.

  • @17dioneforyou Also, not all of us laud music just because it was the time period in which we grew up. I wasn't alive in the 60s, but I think it is better music than today's music. I wasn't alive to experience the Beatles at their peak, but I think they are better than many bands that I did grow up with.

  • @tramberly I mean if you say its worse but thats just a matter of opinion..but alot of people think that its fact that the 80s was better....I say give all music a chance before giving the stigma of all music today is horrible..I think its not fair that music today gets a bad rep for a few bad apples...I mean like rap music..not all is "souljaboy rap" but people say all rap is crap. Or how much people downplay pop music and pop culture...Its a new day..new time..no disrespect to the past at all

  • @irobot2009able depends on what you mean by crap today, because there was crap then too, and this was some of it.

  • @almightyseancore well that's your opinion you must be young because theres nothing out today thats good in my opinion i have a right to my opinion and you do to i don't write to you personally to voice mine so keep your comments out there don't bother me with yours because i don't care about your personal opinion i read everyones and make my comment i don't send my comments to people personally so have a nice day

  • @irobot2009able i'm 28, i remember the 80s very well. have you heard the new built to spill album? au4? the new primitive radio gods? dax riggs? i think you're not looking, if you haven't heard good modern music. check out the musicforchewfaygs channel here on youtube, lots of great modern stuff you probably didn't even know existed.

you won't find it on the radio, thats for damn sure. but there are plenty of great artists out there making beautiful music. i
