I dont blame u, u were young it's okay many ppl have had accidents worse than yours when u were young and just thank God that it didnt get any worse than that. i experience that all the time with deaf ppl i would talk to them and drive at same time but i always make sure that i slow down and glance a little with them and look on the road but i never do it while driving on the hwy, that's a biggggg no no......
OH NOOO! You poor thing.. I'm sure only the people that were there the day before knew about it.. I mean.. you were a kid..accidents happen..thats awful though.. wow.. it's always super hard to not drive and sign at the same time though..but great lesson.. thanks for sharing..
Oh no! But...I have to admit, I have done that before...and I wasn't even signing. Ok...well I didn't crash into a building, but I did always get the gas and brake confused when I first started driving! Ha....
i totally agreed with Cutekittee its so hard so i kept telling my friend wait till the stop light...man i was lil scare...i never be able master tht..u're lucky lol
i have driven with Deaf and they always try to sign to me while i am driving! Not all but a few i can think of. i just do quick glances at them but its hard!
Oh gosh - I can just imagine the sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach when that happens! Thank you for sharing it with us - it is funny but very cringe-able at the same time :)
(part 2) I was talking to my hearing boss while he was driving. I was young, so I didn't know the difference btwn hearing and deaf drivers in general at that time. He almost had accident, was upset and blamed me. I learned a lesson. Never talking in sign language or by paper and pen to hearing drivers.
You're funny, but I'm glad that accident didn't hurt anyone that bad. I've noticed deaf and hearing drivers, in most cases, are different. Most deaf drivers can talk and drive at the same time. I guess it has to do with their wider periphereal vision as researchers showed and has memory with where to go ahead of short time. (part one)
Great stooory!!!!
