That's because you have no argument. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but just to let you know, that's like saying Jon Tesh is better than Mozart.
@WildBillJP ok i have no argument i'm fine with that. though i must say i like your comparison. that saying Joe is better than Yngwie is like saying Jon Tesh is better than Mozart. Anyway as fun as this conversation has been i'm done commenting its time for me to listen to music.
Ok, if you guys really want to compare Yngwie and Joe, where do you want to start first? Song writing ablility? Note choice? ORIGINALITY??? Yea, I didn't think so. I'm sorry but there's a difference between Yngwie Malmsteen, and the guy who can play the fastest scales and arpeggios. Yngwie is the harmonic minor and phrygian MASTER, and he is most definitely in a league of his own, case closed.
@WildBillJP yea i don't really care about finding reasons for my side of arguments... i like listening to Joe more than i like listening to Yngwie. they're both awesome but i think Joe is better.
@Andrew45stavr I like both, I think the reason why Stump isn't as famous as Malmsteen is because a lot of people think he's just copying him (cream guitar, scalloped frets, same pickups, lots of jewelry, so on and so forth). I do find his music a refreshing change of pace in the neo-classical world, but I personally think his form can be sharpened a bit. It sounds a little... off at some points.
There are lots of great neo-classical players out there, try Takayoshi Ohmura.
@Metalisforus First, listen Michael Romeo, Luca Turilli, Michael Angelo Batio... they are just some of the better guitarrists in the world. One of them, not need to be soloist... they are great composers and guitarrist
@Dekida I know i was talcking about Shredding guitar (even Jason Becker was the best and always will) ... not about composers .. there are many better composers (btw Batio sucks), and ingenius players, like Buckethead,or a differente styles Like Steve Lukather,Brian May there were Better ... (Joe Pass Is thousand times better than all of em together)
This tune's composition and the way it flows is way above anything Yngwie has ever done. And I do love Yngwie too.

Wow man, I'm sorry but that's just plain wrong. Joe is a watered down version of Yngwie, plain and simple.
