  • I downloaded sc sharpen. But I can only open it in Motion. How do I get it to appear in FCPx

  • Sorry men another question ( you'll hate me LOL)

Can you suggest me one good denoiser filter for FCPX ? I got the PHYX cleaner , but i don't like it

    Thx

  • @valepandrums I don't have any experience with "commercial" denoisers… If you can link me to a an example, I'll see if Motion has anything worthwhile to use. One of the easiest tricks is to put a copy of the original image, blurred significantly, over the original and applying a blend mode like Overlay and adjusting the mix. Sharpen Tools already does this. A real denoiser will analyze every pixel and its neighbors and apply specific transforms to repair the damage. That would take fxscript…

  • @fxmah

mmm I hoped that there was one denoiser Photoshop style also for FCPX , exactly like you says "analyzation every pixel and its neighbors and apply specific transforms to repair the damage"

  • hy mate , me again

I got one question for you , I would like to transform one video in timelapse , what I mean is , Can I import one video clips 24fps and convert it in 1fps on FCPX? It could be one easy way for make timelspe video , I know that there are a lot of rules about shutter time and aperture for make a good timelapse , it was just one curiousity

    Thank in advance

  • @valepandrums You can Retime a clip (command-r) to more than 1000's% faster, so depending on how much material (length of clip) you can definitely *fake* timelapse by speeding the clip up. a 1 frame per 24 frame is, i think, a 2400% speed up which is definitely and easily accomplished in FCPX. If you haven't retimed before, right-click on a clip and select Retime, or command-r, which will give you a Retiming control over the clip. Grab the hash marks on the right side and drag (the % will show.)

  • @fxmah too late men LOL

I've already done in the same way you wrote ; ) , and to tell you the true the result it's ok , I've took 40min of video footage , and made 40sec of "fake timelapse" video, I'll publish next days my experiment in my Youtube channel

    THX as always

  • Yes you understood perfect !

Thx a lot , I will follow your YT channel

  • thank you mate

I've just installed this filter and it work and look very nice , IMO the best blendig mode is Soft light , I suggest to make two layer of the same video ( one original and the other one with this filter ), and work with tranparency just for increase or decrease the filter , because for me the main issue of FCPX effect is that you can not work with opacity

    Sorry for ,my english

  • @valepandrums I think I know what you mean. I use a similar technique in Photoshop all the time. I'll look at it and see if that's something I can put in.
