  • what's the cat compiling?

  • @bachterman she told me it was, of course, the 'cat' command. X)

  • @MegaGumbo stuck in an infinite loop :D

  • I like your cat :D

  • ha this brings back some memories.. you still have the final cartridge III for the c64 I see, you should stick it in for faster loading. I've never played with Contiki but that's some sort of very small *nix for it as I remember if you want to play ;)

  • @ascheepe: ContikiOS is not Unix. LUnix is a small 8 bit Unix clone for the C64. ContikiOS, today, is more of an application framework than a real OS. But it's fun toyin' around with both. As for fastloading, the RetroReplay (+ Ethernet NIC) does do a great job for me.

  • @MegaGumbo: yeah I know but it still would be fun if I still had my c64, I moved to the amiga early on. Today I own only an amiga 500 without any extra's, just the (in a bad shape) mainboard. It does boot some things though although it needs replacements/who am I kidding.. a new board. It would be nice to see a netbsd on amiga with mmu while we're at it. I heard about the new amiga, that sounds like the first computer in 15 years which gets me excited like a kid ;)

  • nice machines and a cute lil´ kitty =D

  • Cool retro setup :D

About the MC68EC020 and 32-bit - it only has a 24-bit address bus, but still computes on 32-bit values. In fact, some of its instructions both compute on and produce 64-bit values.

  • Oh man !!!

I miss my C64 ! GREAT to see those old boxes up and running !

  • Nice!... NetBSD on an Amiga is amazing ... !

  • Very nice! Cat looks bit confused:).

  • Surely you mean 8 and 32 bit machines? The A1200 used a 68020 32bit CPU and in fact if you are using Linux, you need an MMU, so you must be using a 68030 or better :)

  • Oh, didn't know that about the 68EC20 being full 32 bit.

In fact it's NetBSD 3.1 running on the A1200 with a Phase5 68030 + 68882 FPU "turbo board" (which also features a nice SCSI adapter as well) built in - you got me! ;)

The A1200 also features 32 MB RAM - pure luxury! :D

Some more Stuff coming up, there's a C64 in a nice, custom built case that a friend of mine gave me. So stay tuned! :)

  • i am not sure, but even the 68020 is ''half-32-bit''.

  • This room is like a dreamland!

Nice racks! You gave an idea about how to expose my retro collection.
