Those guns built by Italian company OTO-Melara are also licensed to be built by the US navy and also used by more than half of the world's other navies.
The photo at 10 seconds in the video is the WWII Italian battleship by the same name. It's gun were the most powerful naval guns of WWII, more powerful than both Yamato and Iowa. Also built by OTO-Melara.
So when you see a gun on any navies ship, the odds are very good that it's Italian :-P

The shells had a relatively sharp edge and had a tendecy to "scoop" rather than penetrate decks even at extreme range. The quality of the shells and the charges differed greatly. Differences in the charge will cause wide variations in muzzle velocity as will variations in shell weight. Wide variations in the final machining of shells often led to oversized.........

The quality engineering flaws led to both lesser muzzle velocities and ranges than predicted by the range tables and fire control. This led to a very short barrell life! Take a baseball home plate and put it on top of a 5 foot high box.
Now a basket ball player can lob a basket right onto that home place, his shot has very low dispersion..
A pitcher throwing a fast ball trying to hit the plate will probably be anywhere from 3 feet in front to 3 feet behind the plate, his shot has very high dispersion.

Why don’t you make your simple analysis even simpler, just say “ it make big boom ! ”.
Gun performance in more complicated than just the powder charge size.
As you make a bigger gun the ship’s weight and engines increase to handle the heavy guns and turrets.
You can avoid these drawbacks with a gun 15” gun that has the power of an 18” gun. More ship armor with lighter guns anyone?.

To figure out the 17% you will need to look a the gun penetration tables.
But remember this time you will need to use your brain.

That steel gave them the edge in designing guns to tolerate barrel wear.
In the quest to achieve high velocity low trajectory guns along with the steel they designed on board 24hour replaceable liners.
Other nations after 300 shots would need to take the ship out of action for weeks, months or replace the entire gun.
These guns almost shot line drives to their targets (36degree max elevation).

But, the pitcher’s ball will hit everything between himself and home plate, it has a very large “danger space”.
The lobbed basket ball has a very, very small danger space, just the plate.
Besides penetration and range the Littorio battleship had the largest danger spaces of any naval gun.
Console yourself when the pitcher’s ball hits you because, despite whatever, you knew it had high dispersion and should not have hit you.
Now, go find the evidence for yourself.

Che bel video, anche io ho bei ricordi di questa nave, ci lavorava mio padre come Comandante Sala Macchine il cognome è Ambrosi...qualche volta mia faceva salire e l'abbiamo visitata assieme...veramente bella...spero davvero diventi una nave museo!!!

@onlyrally Ciao, anch'io ricordo molto bene Serio, ogni volta che smontavo dalla sala macchine facevo tappa in Quadrato Sottufficiali, caffettino e tanti discorsi che facevamo, peccato bravo ragazzo ciaoooo..
