  • I have this on my phone. Awesome

  • i never got past the second screen

  • I love the music for this game!

  • @kyleundercofler Yup, the main music is ridiculously catchy.

  • I beat this when I was a kid. I felt like a stud for having done so. Ha. Grats on your achievement.

  • Gaming in the Clinton Years.

  • This game pissed me off when I was 8 because I couldn't get past the first door. I recently picked it up at the game store for NES and still hard as shit.

  • I tried to click that skull with every action and nothing happened.

that's why I got pissed on the first level once and never played it again.

  • Also, I'd love to have some these items in this game replicated. Just for fun. A silver tipped spear. YEAHHH

  • I think i remember borrowing a NES power strategy guide for this game. Took some of the fun out of it but it's still one of my top 10 nes games ever.

  • Fuckin amazing game and music

  • The music is so haunting, I was like 5 when i played this and it scared the shit out of me.

  • I rented this game when my friend let me borrow her NES when I was like, 6. Didn't know what to do then, and still don't. I fucking died in like every room LOL.

  • Nine years this game drove me insane. I never knew wtf to do.

  • Great music for an NES game. The puzzles were very perplexing at times. Always had a hightened sense of anxiety playing this.

  • This was one of my favorite NES games. Seeing the Grim Reaper when I died gave me nightmares! :O But I loved this game :)

  • I could only get as far as the waterfall. Years later, I am here hoping to learn the secret.

  • Man this game used to stress me out as a kid...the constant pang of death in the air...thanks a lot for putting this up though!

  • i didnt even know the key was in the skull! LOL

  • I'm like "epor, what the hell does that mea....oh you gotta be kidding me!"

  • Oh my! I've tried to play this game in more recent years and forgotten so much but most of what I see is familiar! I always like this format that I only saw used in Shadowgate and Deja Vu though I'm sure other games used this engine.

  • @xeroxbarber yes, uninvited was made by the same company and has the same format

  • ahhh, brings back memories, siiiiigh. then of course i played Uninvited. great games. hehe..so much easier now that i'm older.

  • This game tortured me too, after all these years I haven't really gone back and beaten it.

  • The satisfaction of beating it makes it worth the hellish torment.

  • @HyoureiKyouran 16:00, I the hero who is some descended king begins auspicously enough as the tune suggests. I was stuck in three places. Where to use the "lighter than air" potion the snake, the cave in and the darned tempormental dragon. of course! I never thougth my heavily armoured hero could go -through- a waterfall. I guess my horse-drawn carrige wheels are unstuck(for now.)
