tarot art can be particularly fascinating. seeing artists interpret archetypes is always intriguing, and the variety avalable is staggering.
if a person was looking for a deck, they should be very very choosey. if the artwork doesn't 'speak' to the reader, much of the ability to intuit may be diminished.
i'm agnostic about tarot myself, but the cards are an art form almost unto themselves.

I never thought about it, but the art from the cards is usually pretty awesome. Especially when you consider that they usually represent certain archetypes. I could imagine that they would be great for inspiration.
I'm totally going to be getting at least one deck and I'm going to absolutely develop a technique to do a "reading" for artistic inspiration. You've inspired me and the idea is priceless! I'll let you know what I come up with.
GREAT!!!! They are good for interpretation and a fun skill to have to be honest they are usually accurate. I use to give my mom and friend readings all the time before they got too accurate and freaked her out. I find that is it more a psychological tool than anything else. The way you interpret them says a lot about who you are and where you are in your emotional and mental "journey" (can't think of a better word). They are beautiful and worthy of much more than the parlor trick they've become.
