@miamiwax Why don't you go to davesmithinstruments(dot)com and download the Evolver manual? There isn't enough room or incentive here for anyone to provide a tutorial.
@ninefootnails you can play on it by itself when using the sequencer as in the video. If you own one, check out the manual on how to make a sequenced sound. The manual is online if you don't have it, and there is also a really in depth and great guide written by a fan which you can find by searching google.

Gotta love the hack function

is it good to use as a expansion synthesizer? i see everyone playing with samples, but i never see a keyboard.
mikak3607 5 months ago
@mikak3607
it's not a sampler... it's a syntesizer: you can play it with a keyboard or with the internal sequencer

Daryoosh69 10 months ago
@Daryoosh69
it goes directly in the mixer.
No amp, it is a synth!

@Daryoosh69
no amps: the synth goes directly to the camera line inputs

I know that it has 16 steps per sequence and 4 sequences, do you know if they can be "daisy-chained" for a total of 64 steps?
bellurypants 11 months ago
@bellurypants
no, you can't use them in series but only in parallel mode :(
ESSEKNOB 11 months ago
can somebody explain how you make sounds on a synth with no keyboard?? please help!!
miamiwax 1 year ago
@miamiwax
you have just to connect the synth via midi to a master keyoboard... or you can use the internal sequencer
ESSEKNOB 1 year ago
@ESSEKNOB can u elaborate on the internal sequencer?? i'm really dumbfounded.. how can u produce different notes??
miamiwax 1 year ago
@miamiwax
yes, you can change the notes of the step sequencer by rotating the knobs

Thanks so much for your demo - I watched this before I bought one, and holy crap this is one of the best buys I've made. I love this box.

the tone on this is excellent! it sounds almost just like a Moog
culturaleyes 1 year ago
@culturaleyes
They're both analog, except this also has digital oscilators..
Moog and DSI are the ''mercedes-benz of synthesizers''.... Even though MB's aren't that great nowadays.
