It would be interesting to learn what would Obama do if elected as a president within the first 100 days in the office in terms of practical steps to address threats posed by nuclear terrorism, proliferation of weapons-grade nuclear materials and uncontrollable amount of nuclear weapons in the United States???
After listening to McCain supporters screaming false accusations endlessly like a bunch of exhausted two-year-olds (and the tv media is not much better), it's a relief to hear a man focusing on real grown-up issues.
Of COURSE we should be focusing on loose nuclear weapons. We haven't heard such sanity and seriousness in YEARS!
Hawaii, Kenya, Kansas--whoever we're supposed to thank for sending us this man and his beautiful wife and children--THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
Some people don't like Obama's message because it doesn't reinforce the bitterness they have become so comfortable with. Hope is poisonous to some people, to others it's just a strange, foreign concept. And, change?...fo-get about it.
It's like the guy who hasn't had a date in 10 years walking by an ad that says: 'You can find true love', yeah, right. It's hard to not give up. It's difficult and even crazy to say: 'Yes we Can'. But, what is the alternative?
Sen. Obama should go to Italy during his trip to Europe.
Not only for geopolitical reasons (Italy is an important player in Middle East, it is the major trade partner with Iran, it commands the UN mission in Lebanon and has the 3rd biggest military in Afghanistan, it is the seat of Roman Catholic Church) or for political speculations (20 millions of Italian-American live in the US), but also because he would receive a warm welcome here: many people love him and support his campaign.
I'm a "true" republican who has never supported Bush and would never support McCain because they do NOT hold republican values and policies. I would so much like to put my support behind Obama because I feel he is the better choice. (Of course Ron Paul is my first choice) But Obama's "yes" vote of the FISA bill is very disturbing. That bill goes against much of what America stands for. He DID say he wouldn't support it and he then supported it. He voted against our constitution, like McBush.
You need to vote for the best choice for the country. Sen. Obama COMPROMISED. He said that he would not have written it the way it was, and he disagrees with the civil immunity part of it (he doesn't disagree with criminal immunity though.. hint, hint). He will revisit the bill once in the White House, but there would be no way of tracking/tracing real terrorist networks without some sort of eavesdropping bill because that one was expiring. He did it for a temporary compromise, not a forever law
Great ad! Obama does work across party lines no matter what the McSame campaign and GOP idiots are saying. Another example (see Gordon Smith in OR) in less than two weeks.
my heart is so fill with hope at the though of obama being president .....have a safe trip senator abraod the world will get to see our great leader that i love so much....also have fun senator mercie beaucoup
That right there is more than the media's beloved McCain or beloved Bush has ever done to keep us safe. Their contrived war has just made things worse.
I found the same thing. Today I was looking at an interview he gave with David Gregory on the Today Show last year. He used the same language. Tis amazing.
The media is not screwing it up. They are making it up, because they are afraid of loosing money(higher taxes). What they fail to realize is that if nothing trickles down, nothing gets spent. Its like McShame has Boardwalk, Bush has Park place, and the stimulus package was just enough to get pass GO one more time.
himechansexytightass, the media seeks scandal and ANYTHING to report that might be perceived as news. I watched all of the debates and vividly remember Sen. Obama saying early this year that he would ALWAYS take into account the advice of the commanders on the ground in Iraq. However, he said that his goal would be to get our troops out of Iraq within 16 months of his presidency. That's not flip-flopping, it's consistency. Keep believing in our candidate. He's worth it. Obama08!!
