At least funcom had enough balls to make a mature rated MMO. I loved all the blood and gore, really wish more MMOs would be mature. Shame AoC got boring so fast.
horrible game coding? maybe, did not play this for years, can't tell about the current status, but AOC has around 100k subscribers in the last count, so ur server is perhaps not well populated.

@maxxx1st Fantasy MMOs are no realistic genres. They're FANTASY. Mushrooms bumping into you for some damage does sound stupid, but that doesn't mean Aion is utterly un-realistic and WoW is automatically better. There are many things about Aion that trumps WoW, like the PVP system, the chain skill system, and the graphics. There are other stuff that WoW trumps over Aion, like big communities, gear databases, instances, raids, economy, and what not.
@hesitation24 the game had a bad start, with many buggs etc, thats why many ppl left and thats why it was called a "fail". These days however it certain is the best mmorp you can find on the market. Too bad many ppl cant look past all the flames about age of conan which now is a great game

i am a lvl 12 barbarian and whenever i pull a fatality off the is no massive blood splatter it splats on the screen but none spurts from the guys body also i do have mature content enabled so if anyone could help me here in how to get the blood spurting when i put my sword through his chest would be greatly appreciated
@DeadRedRedemption I would say its a good thing to lvl fast, I mean lvl 1 to 80 I think its a good thing if you want to lvl other classes to. So that you could try them aswell.

Okay guys, no he is not a HoX or Barb. I am 100% sure of it. He is a Conq. Look he has Throat Slash for one thing. Also he has Fire Weave Aura. So he is 100% a Conq not a HoX, Barb or anything else.
I'd like to know from an experienced AoC player how's the game.
The mechanics, classes, battle, graphics, fun. If the game is well balanced. Stuff like that. I've been playing wow for a while now and it go kinda repetitive, so i wanna try something else.
@matavellirafa The game is pretty well,but not like mmoRPG, it is more of a netgame: gear doesn't mean as much as your skill (not like in WOW, i have 5 year experience) you have to do double taps run around like crazy to make others miss, so it is pretty hard to play but if you're skilled and geared you're a nomatch for everyone since 1.6 siege problems went away. Now the game is playable and balanced(as i concerned).
@matavellirafa the game is better than ever b4...they released a lot of new content and they are planning on releasing an expanshion so get playing as fast as u can..game is balanced and fun.
AoC was a great game, it required skill(unlike wow). A player in all greens could take down someone geared up in all purples if he knew what he was doing. Haven't played in 5-6 months now but i remember Hired Hands owned Bloodspire, we owned in everything whether it was bgs, fortress raids, pvp etc... we were even top in pve content... noone could fuck with us, too bad lack of content got me to quit.
It required skill? you mean hit the 1 of the 3 sides which has less defense? The combat system didn't require any skill, it was more like dance dance revolution type combat, that is to say you were terrible at it if you couldn't left left left up right. If you could do that 5 button combat you were a master @ the combat system lol.

conq sux tbh...of course it can take 4 same lv mobs but sin pwnz a same lv conq at pvp anytime and the main defense of a sin is his dps so that means i can kill a mob in secconds
@rybezahl no....theres something that cuts off mature content. If you have that selected to cut off mature content,then the fatalities wont cut heads off. In the uncut version,he cuts the heads OFF.

Pretty much you have a point, although on most other mmorpgs you have something to do even when your solo, such as rep farming. On AoC you got only gathering or raiding. And gathering sucks.

If you would kill the oponent with your combo you have 20% chance to obtain fatality. Some gear and special abilities can increase the chance for it. Fatality works great against casters and healers because during execution of your "last" combo they havent got chance to heal themself up or chance to kill you earlier.
For any of you who are going to buy the game because you saw this just don't, because I've heard a lot of people regret it and a lot are quitting. I'm just trying to save you money, but by all means buy it if you can't resist :O. Also sorry for being a little negative XP.
There is no sorry for your negative XP lot of people will always try the game and leave as AoC is not just for everybody you have to be really skillful to success in pvp otherwise you will experience just... losses :)

conq sux tbh...of course it can take 4 same lv mobs but sin pwnz a same lv conq at pvp anytime and the main defense of a sin is his dps so that means i can kill a mob in secconds

@rybezahl no....theres something that cuts off mature content. If you have that selected to cut off mature content,then the fatalities wont cut heads off. In the uncut version,he cuts the heads OFF.

i havn't tried this game yet but i know it's my dream game only reaso ni didn't try is cause people adviced me not to so i kept on trying to find my dream game and all the time it was age of conan i know it is cause i love awesome graphics and awesome gameplay and dispise point and clik an this game has nothing like that yay!
My friends obviously did not find it interesting but i do and some games isn't for everyone.

Pretty much you have a point, although on most other mmorpgs you have something to do even when your solo, such as rep farming. On AoC you got only gathering or raiding. And gathering sucks.

If you would kill the oponent with your combo you have 20% chance to obtain fatality. Some gear and special abilities can increase the chance for it. Fatality works great against casters and healers because during execution of your "last" combo they havent got chance to heal themself up or chance to kill you earlier.

My favorite fatality is for sword and shield, when your dude hits them with the shield, then stabs them, then kicks them off.
