when I first heard this I instantly loved it. My mom's boyfriend was blasting it in his car and the bass was bumping!!!! you could hear it all the way down the street. haha
Payback ,many many thanks for allowing me to hear one of my all time fave Jam and Lewis tracks in all it`s instrumental glory. I`m back in the 80`s again..heaven. Peace.
One of my favorite Cherrel songs but I always thought that the video was stupid! I know she was trying to copy of Mighty Joe Young or Godzilla movie but it was stupid to me! Then again most 80's videos were kinda cheesy, though the music was great! Videos were just really coming out and not quite popular as they are now! You could love a song and artist and never know what they looked like, because unless they were on tour and did a show ,you did not see them!
Yes most videos were very Cheezy up until i saw Michael and Janet blazzing on the video and doing their dancing, then a whole new 80's world openned up for me.
Wow i am so shccked how many people have emailed me and were so amazed by this instrumental version, thanks to all of you. i am glad you all enjoying it. keep up the listening to the classics!!!
no problem glad you love it. I have loved this song for so long. every time I hear all those synthesizers it reminds me of my days in Chicago colleging and also of Jimmy Jam and Lewis, they can Jam!!!!

Yes, PAYBACKiszaB2, this is fantastic. Not knocking the singing, but the instrumental is great in of itself. Thanks!

Anyway, what I really wanted to say was I now realize why Jam and Lewis liked to wear them big hats. Cause they some GANGSTAS on this funk trip!

I never 'experienced' the 80's musically as I was a baby then. I wish we could have a 80's music revival! 80's music must have been really good.

I'll never understand why alot of times when they put the instrumental on the B-side time wise it's shorter than the vocal side...
