There are a number of different strategies - I would utilize strategies used by top students for learning vocab for languages (essentially very similar). You can use the following methods:

a) Look, cover, write definition, check

b) Flashcards

c) Re-Write out the definitions repetitively

d) Create visual associations - take the words/terminology and connect them to something else that is easier to remember
