  • Memories!

  • i remember messing with dr sbatso when i was younger i remember telling the guy i give up you're too dumb and he replied im not dumb only stupid lol

  • I CAN'T BELIEVE IT GOT THE NUMBERS RIGHT. Like they actually said to themselves, "let's make this thing pronounce them correctly". Wow.

  • nice! I remember playing around with this program back in the day when I first got the SoundBlaster 8bit soundcard!!

  • I love how it gets increasingly depressed as it reads the number out. :D

    Ah, the memories!

  • I have a giant reference manual for my old SB Pro card that no longer exists. There's a whole chapter with extensive info on this program. This should be fun, testing this out. Maybe I'll make a video.

  • TOO LITTLE INFORMATION, SO I MAKE BIG

  • I used this in CMD on my Windows 7 laptop, it did work, but the voice quality was bad, tried it on my old Dell with WinXP, it worked like it was made for it (which it was not)

  • I never saw that feature either.

And that includes an awful lot of getting the good doctor to say short, 4 letter words.

  • I remember this guy. You can make him change his background color too!

  • @peemples How do you do that

  • @MixerVM

    Just ask him.

  • sounds like ArmA 2 voice acting :P

  • What da shiznit...The voice of the cross-dresser that is Eliza!

  • I remember this. He was always asking me if I loved him. LOL

  • Dr Sbaitso is AALLIIIVVEEE

  • Tell me about your problems. "well first of all id like to state my fapping disorder."

  • I remember playing with this as a kid, but I have to admit, I never had what appeared to be an actual conversation like this XD

  • I heard you cab get him to quit on you, how does this happen

  • No echo on?

  • I wish now our old 486 had a Creative sound card in it, as it is the computer had some Sound Blaster Compatible card in it, I think the card was made by Expertmedia, even if we had a Sound Blaster it's highly likely I wouldn't have known about this program anyway. I seem to remember using a program like this once, I believe it was calle Clyde the talking computer, it didn't have speech output and the computer I was using didn't have a sound card.

  • SO, TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS.

    >I have no friends.

ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE ANY FRIENDS?

    >No,like i said, I DON'T have any friends.

    THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM

xD xD xD xD xD xD xD ROFL

  • It was fun, it had a nice txt file to speech command as well.

  • "Say ########....#"

  • can you give me a link to download this

  • i used to love this thing mostly cussed with it though im trying to find a free version of this any good leads??

  • eeeeeeeh, old days

  • ahhh childhood :)

  • i remember that if u keep swearing after a while he uses a crying voice.

  • That is so funny I miss that lol.

  • Try this:

    .pitch 8

    .speed 2

say can you take me to dah nucleah wessels

P.S. those of you who want to use it on a newer computer, search the web for DOSBOX

  • lol

  • What a trip down memory lane!

  • This program is such a big part of my childhood. The good Doctor is so messed up. X) I downloaded it recently - sound is really low-pitched and garbled, but the trip down memory lane was worth it.

As a kid, I always hated when he made the words bigger. X)

  • Amazing, im using it when i buy my first sound card (Sound Blaster pro 8 Bit gold) it came with the box .

  • Does this works with DosBox? I can't believe that back then I was talking about my love life with a program lol!! Looking forward to do it again hahahahaah!!!

  • Yes, it will work; in fact, this video was recorded via DOSBox.

  • What was that other program that came with Sound Blaster that featured some stupid parrot that would repeat everything you said??

  • im a talking parrot, please talk to me!

  • @1007709 - HAHA I woke up this morning thinking that exact same saying in my head for whatever reason and came on here looking for Dr. Sbaitso stuff to see if ppl even knew about it. Great childhood memories!

  • HOLY CRAP I remember this!!! I used to love this stupid thing! haha

  • totally nostaligic!.. thanks for posting.. :)

  • LOL ... nostalgy :)

This is Leonard Cohen, Isnt it? :)

  • Actually, a really good emulator should be able to do it all, regardless of what your actual equipment is. But this was a pretty big issue during the changover from DOS to Win32 (actually from ISA soundcards to PCI soundcards, which was about the same time).

  • "I have a program of this but it has no sound. How do I get Sbaitso's voice? "

Short answer -- sound won't work in DOS programs on modern PCs.

Long answer -- actually, it will if you have the right equipment and setup. The easiest way is to get yourself an old ISA sound card. If your mobo has a SB-link connector, just run a line from it to your sound card (assuming it's compatible). Another factor is, of course, what type of DOS environment you're running (native, emulated, etc).

  • hahaha I remember this.

  • I have a program of this but it has no sound. How do I get Sbaitso's voice?

  • does this work on windows XP

  • You probably need to run it under an emulator such as DOSBox.

  • @remline No, just run it thru the command prompt type the command line. I have used it on XP, also on Windows 7!

  • @remline I tested it under Windows XP it DOES work in the MS-DOS emulation

  • @wrestlingfan567 Works on XP Pro SP3 natively.

  • wow! old school!! love this!!

  • I remember this...Such fun! ^_^

  • I also remember if you typed in crazy a bunch of times, the Doc goes nuts.. :P

  • dr spatso was good post sum more vids of this. this is funny as fock

  • Lol, I remember this. One of the funnest things to mess around with. ^_^
