I did this and it worked, but it didn't let me go to windows activate after I did the regedit thing. No biggie though, it's activated and that's all I wanted, thanks bro.

This does not work permanently. Once you restart the computer you have to type it in again. Also, in my case, the windows activation icon continues to come back every day. So basically this does'nt do anything.
