I have loved POWAQQATSI ever since it came out but there's something about Video Dream that really affects me. It's almost hypnotic, magical!

I love this movie. It's a bit preachy for me though.
Is industrial capitalism REALLY harming the 3rd world that much? Technology has pulled many of these areas out of poverty...but of course we don't see that in Powaqquatsi

I work for a Brazilain mining company called VALE.
The learn predatory capitialism quickly.
Now you think a company from the third world would be more sympathetic to workers and want to run safe productive opperations.
Reality is they learned how to exploit workers from us. And now they are doing what we did right back to us
