Plus Cinemax was sort of one of this first in the pay tv industry to have what their version of it was often called "Friday Night "Skin-a-Max" The then girlfriend some 20 years ago made sure we never missed it, had to be home with a drink in one hand and a joint in the other hand with eyes glued to that tv for like the two minutes that she would watch before she was all fucked up and ready to go...lol
There was even a parody ratings bumper shown before some movies that day, something along the lines of "This movie has been rated 'NG'" followed by a screenful of funny comments - anyone have that?
Nevermind i missed the first 15 seconds i can see it wasnt

Did that guy say "Rits, tits, and marital blitz"?!
EastmanFilm 1 year ago
It almost sounds like it. I seem to hear "ribs, tips and martial bliss."

Cinemax was started by Hbo, as A total movie network,seeing as how Hbo also showed sports and specials.

@Nickfan001
Yeah, partners for as long as I could remember. The same thing for Showtime and The Movie Channel. Then Starz and Encore.

I like the rebus. But I can hardly make out what's between the feet and the oar.

That's a Y
edaposrecks1 4 years ago
Of course. Feet + Y + Oar = feature. Clever idea.

It was interesting, to say the least....the actual model city as used in the original opening, messed up to look like a clear parody.
nx01alpha 4 years ago
Plus, it was backed up by a kazoo, for humorous effect.

bahaha I never remember seeing this, maybe it was a one off. But its cool that HBO had the sense of humor to parody itself. :)
