Even if Tom had done an awful showdance he still would have won, it was about personality and not about who was the better dancer! I didn't like the showdance very much and yes Tom's was great, but overall Rachel was the better dancer throughout the series!

I was disappointed with this.. Rachel is a brilliant dancer and Vincent is a brilliant choreographer, so i expected their showdance to be a knock-out but this was nothing special at all.

Rachel was obviously the better dancer, but as Colin Jackson and Erin proved a few years ago with the dummy disaster, Strictly is usually won or lost on a showdance and unfortunately for Rachel, that was the case here. It was a good routine, but it didn't really have the sparkle of Tom and Camilla's.

i think rachel was the better dancer of the two but i did feel this was like all other showdances i have seen, it seemed to just be lift after lift. Toms was very unique and it won it for me.

I think this was too common for a show dance (look at past showdances, they're very similar or the same)

Tom's was unique and fun, he really deserved to win

I totally agree with Czerniakowska because i am a profesonal dancer and to see someone enjoying it as much as Tom is fantastic. He loved every minute of what he was doing, and had the difficulty of leading, whereas Rachel just walked around for a bit and followed Vincent. For a woman to win strictly they hv to outshine evryone because dancing for a man is harder than a woman. thanks for reading!

and i dont think rachel had an advantage beacause in a band you dont do dancing like this so it is totally different !

i think rachel should have won beacause some people our saying tom won coz of teh entertainment and if that was teh reason then that is stupid because it is a dancing compitetion ! not an entertainment competition

Aah - but is it right that the show dance should decide the outcome of the competition? Yes, Tom and Camilla were brilliant, but overall still think Rachel was more consistent throughout the other weeks. Shame they couldn't share the trophy - it would have been well deserved.

How were they more consistent when they were twice in dance-offs and Tom and Camilla never were? As a dancer myself, what I always saw in Tom's dancing was joy and fun, which I never saw in Rachel's. Moreover, you can't possibly compare someone leading in a Slow Foxtrot ( a very difficult dance) with someone followng in one. It's like comparing someone driving a car with someone sitting in the front passenger seat of one.

Good, but not as good as Tom's. Tom was more entertaining and that's why he won. People are so uptight about these things, but it's just an entertainment show, and he won because he's lovely :)

I liked this dance but pale to Tom and Camilla's. Im sick of people saying so and so should have won. The audience voted the couple they thought the most ENTERTAINING, not the best technical couple but most entertaining, that was clearly Tom and Camilla. The public aren't dance experts, we can't expect them to all vote on the one they thought had the best moves or what not but judged it on how entertaining they were. That's why Tom and Camilla won.

i thought rachel was a little over rated to be honest, she was overmarked on her foxtrot, it didnt have that wow factor, and her argentine tango wasnt as good as marks that also got 39, all her tango was was an amazing lift then lots of tango steps to the end i didnt see no story or drama whereas mark and karens had the best of both worlds and actually gave me goosebumps, i found rachels good but pretty boring towards the end imo

Not one of Rachels best dances and I agree that Tom's show dance was better but however good her dance was Tom still would have won because loads of women know him from the tv and seem to fancy him. I think women tend to vote more to vote than men in these kind of programmes. Anyway I have loved watching Rachel and Vincents dancing over the weeks and was so pleased they got to 2nd place. They have been the best dancers over the whole series.

am i the only one who noticed that rachel was already a professional dancer thats what s club seven was about dance routines so it makes going in a dance compotition a bit easier than it would be than to a rugby player or an actor

This was disappointing for a show dance. I have enjoyed watching Vincent and Rachel all the way through, and had expected better things from them The choreography was not spectacular and not executed smoothly enough.

Tom's show dance was just amazing. The right person won!

Rachel got found out in this dance. When it came down to the wire, Tom pulled it out of the bag while Rachel was left found wanting.

Rachel is a very good dancer, but got annihilated to smithereens in the Showdance.

I havent watched the series so i dont really kow much about it but from watchin this and toms i think tom was the best this was just to lifty for me it was like they were trying to wow with lifts rather than actually dancing...toms was amazing made me smile so much. He deserved to win, u have to give him the added fact that its soo much harder for the guy celeberity to take on the role of a professional he was brilliant x

Lisa and brendan and Racheal and vincent should of been in the grand final . i like tom but he only got the votes because he's in a soap. tom was the worst dancer two weeks. Lisa did brilliantly in her last dances and got full marks but didn't make it through. that shows you that its all about do the public know the dancers.

Did you not see Tom's showdance? He won because of that. He was incredible. Rachel has been more consistent and some of her previous dances were AMAZING (Her rumba especially). But Tom just pulled it out of he bag with his showdance, it was the most spectacular dance ever on strictly. So clever and so entertaining. After that I HAD to vote for him although I had been backing Rachel for weeks.
