@travesham - how is it that the older brother is tied up , tortured and mortally wounded by a figure in the shadows but then the younger bro scares the torture guy away and then magically the older bro is able to jump up as if nothing happened and say it was only a con but when the younger bro leaves , the older bro is again slouching in his torture chair and dying for real. This makes no sense and there are many other holes in this movie not even mentioned. Can you even recognize a good film?

@travesham - I finally saw the dvd with my friend and it was just what I expected , a movie with alot of holes in it that does not give any explanations as to how things happened. For example - why would she blow up her castle home for no apparent reason , why did the police release the rich girl and let her keep the book , why no explanation as to why the guy with the eye patch was hated by the older brother , did the asian girl blow up or not , who are the russian guys with the guns , cont'd

Maybe I am out of touch with todays movie fans , but this movie looks like just another wimpy gay yuppie based bore! Movies made in the seventies and eighties were so much better with characters that were much more realistic. These characters are very fake and not believable to me.

@marleonetti5 You're definitely out of touch. Firstly, you're judging the believability of the characters based on the few minutes of the film in which we see them as children. Secondly, realism is not the goal of every film. The whole point of this sequence is to show how different the brothers are from the average (or real) children are. There's an entire school of thought in cinema that discourages the attempt to mimic realism because the very act of pointing a camera at a subject changes it.
