i saw the stingray vs little spinner 2 battle and little flipper 2 vs pillow torque battle at the UEA in Norwich in 2005. i'm hoping to run a aspergers featherweight championship soon, and the arena is a little bit different to xfm's arena. it's going to have a floor flipper, floor spinner, dropzone, floor spinner button, pit button, entry bays, cpz's, pit and the house robots too. how big is the arena in lenght, width and height? (not the polycarbonate box which goes around it, just the arena)
There have been no major events in Scotland since Winter 2004 (Roaming Robots Winter Tour, Edinburgh)
Unfortunately, all current event organisers are based in mid to south England and don't venture up here, mainly due to the distances involved and the lack of robots. Me included, there are about three people I am aware of who build and compete fairly regularly in these events - sadly that's not enough to make regular events in Scotland a feasible option.
Hey dude, I'm actually Liam Bryant from the FRA forum, I was thinking we could do robotic events in scotland with our robots, when mines gets completed, hence the scottish robot accosiation!
It was built by a guy called James Cooper, its been around for a number of years now - I believe he got a lot of help off the Razer team when building it. The same people are now building a featherweight replica of Warhead too called Predator, complete with all the moving arms/tail and the disc as well! Its due for its debut at an event in July - I fully intend to be there to see it :-)
No, unfortunately not. The one featured in the video is Venom, a 12kg scale replica of Razer. I believe that the Razer team still hire Razer out for parties and events etc and in doing so, have to keep it in full running order a lot, so I don't see it coming back onto the full competitive combat scene (and, to be honest, with the level that today's heavyweights have reached, Razer would probably struggle to hold its own, awesome though it is)
True it has been, but its also been constantly upgraded to keep up with the level of current heavyweights whereas Razer is still in its Series 6 spec. But having said that, it probably wouldn't need too much upgrading for it to be competing and holding its own on a regular basis
i wounder if extreme fighting machines event group made any dvd's of their event ?

Oh I don't know. Behemoth is still a pretty solid machine, and its been around since Robot Wars series 2.
