  • wait....so what happens next?

    . _.

    .

  • @TheArtistZen it ends

  • This is brilliant, but I understand if the other guy did not want to finish. Voicing the Joker in the Mark Hamill style is incredibly taxing. Hell, I do his laughs and voice for kicks and recreation to scare my friends into thinking I'm really crazy, and after 2 days of doing it I go into coughing fits.

  • @Darreck3 na, he still does it for other projects, he just decided f this project, pm me with a sample because I still have all the stuff I need except for Joker's parts if your interested

  • @Sydpart2 I'll think about it. I have a bit of work to do these next few weeks, but if I have the free time I will find my copy of Killing Joke and do one of the scenes. Or a panel or two.

  • @Sydpart2 Wow, this motion comic, made the joker seem, unusually sympathetic.

  • I cannot express the pain it brings me to know that this will not be finished. Excelent work anyway. Favorited and liked.

  • lol i liked the joke he told batman it made me laugh

  • It's too bad you couldn't finish the project, but I love what you have done anyway :)

  • I liked the "Arkham Asylum" comic made about a decade back where Bats admits he's probably is nuts to a certain extent-after all, he dresses up as a flying rat. XP

  • @NodDisciple1 You have no idea how little that narrows it down...almost every Arkahm based story is about that...

  • @Sydpart2 The one that is literally titled "Arkham Asylum" and was written by Alan Moore also. It was known for also having a "painted" look to it.

  • @NodDisciple1 Alan Moore has never written a book called arkham asylum, he hates writing batman. You're probably thinking of Arkham Asylum A Serious House on Serious Earth written by Grant Morrison and "drawn" by Dave McKean, look at my profile background to confirm

  • @Sydpart2 Yeah, it's that one. X-/ You think you'll ever do parts of that book? :?

  • @NodDisciple1 Oh I've got Mad Hatter's scene up, I also have a motion comic of Joker's Asylum Harley Quinn, Slay Ride, Green Lantern: Flight (video links to viemo), and some stuff of Black Mask too...

  • Mark Hamil is my favorite Joker voice ever. Still, I wonder what ppl imagined as the Joker's voice back when this comic first came out, as I think this was before Hamil or Nicholson? Cesar Romero? :?

  • Pretty good, but the zooming and panning isn't necessary- it distracts from the artwork...

  • @videogamenostalgia fair criticism but I've done other videos in this format without the pans and such before, I found they tend to get a little stale and boring without any motion in the video, and that people kind of get distracted and end up reading the panels which is kind of a pain to the actors since it narrows their room for variation of the text. But thanks for the comment.

  • @Sydpart2 Yeah, it must be hard to judge how much to animate.

  • @Sydpart2

    I thought it worked fine.

  • Great Joker voice! Really enjoyed this, Syd. Your predicament with the actor is exactly why I make motion comics solo. Currently adapting Batman: Hush, please check it out on my channel.

  • I was not expecting the glass crashing, as I haven't read Killing Joke in a while, and I had my volume way up. That and Batman screaming scared the shit out of me.... so I can say that totally brought me into the experience more than expected. Real shame this couldn't be a full comic of the whole thing.

  • @InnerVenom123 that is the exact situation I was hoping for when originally scripting and editing it!

  • @Sydpart2

your joker wasn't menacing. it wasn't an action packed scene. Then suddenly Batman is there with a BAM. It served only to completely pull you out of the moment and make you annoyed with batman.

  • Nice use of music from Amelie

  • @areacynic thanks, I was going to attempt to use accordion and carnival music throughout but since it was never complete it couldn't be done.

  • Woooooaahh. Now this was a long time ago haha. My voice work in this is pretty outdated by now - this must've been not that long after I first started acting. But hey, thanks for letting me know you'd gotten some of this out! Shame about the Joker not getting finished.

  • Nice, that was real nice.

  • The one thing I really dont like, is Jokers "no". I mean, in comic he is very clearly supposed to be angry and screaming. In this, he sounds so bored and calm.

  • @Ikarosus yes, once again this is incomplete, I took that from another line later in in the scene just to complete that part because I wanted to highlight Steven's work

  • @Ikarosus He sounds weary and regretful to me, like he wants to go back to being a normal man. Back to not being crazy.

  • @TheDevilbuster With the overall tone of the scene you're correct but he's talking about when Joker attacks Batman after being told he's wrong...

  • @Ikarosus

angry? with that face? and "I'm sorry"?

  • @JustThink00 What are you talking about?

  • Very nice! Would have loved to see the full thing.

  • It's too bad the dude refused to carry this through to the end. I know this took a lot of work and I would've liked to have seen it come together. Better luck next time, Ian.
