The biggest torture of all is listening to all the D-bag Glock hater's. The best Handgun in the world is the one that you can make vital hits with time after time. For me it's a Glock, maybe not for you that's ok.
glock! I hate every time u go into a gun store every single person ask for a glock because its a household name if u want a realy nice gun get an h&k usp or an h&k p30 they are worth the extra money
@strakill Ignorant statements? I don't think you understand what I was saying.
"People who know nothing about guns buy glocks? Sir, please face the exit and start walking forward."
I put a question mark at the end there, and told somebody to turn around and leave. I am not the one who said that only people who know nothing about guns buy glocks, somebody else said that, and it disgusted me.
Sorry, I just wanted to set that straight. I love Glocks personally.
Yah that's why over 40% of all us law enforcement agencies choose Glock over all other Brands. Dependable, Accurate, Safe... The H&K's are for sure outstanding firearms. If you shoot you H&K like you do your mouth...
Nah if I am dropping 1k on a handgun its going to be a sig. Say what you want about the usp and hk mk 23 but the sig 226/229 family is the best out there.
Well, the only reason it's a household name is because of the reputation that it's built over the years. The only real complaint you can level against glocks is their ergonomics, and the fact that they're butt ugly. The ergonomics you can get used to, but you can do little to improve the reliabilty and safety of other pistols. Seriously, the motto says it all- Perfection.
@Seams675 haha theyre not talking about the slide locking back, theyre talking about it locking forward in the firing position. look how when they release the slide it doesnt come all the way forward. it wont fire out of battery, so if you had that usp in your hand you would be fucked
Thats enuff for me torture for me and the gun shop near me is selling new Glocks in the $500-$550. Thanks for the test and now its off to get my new Glock 21!
That does not look like a glock AT ALL. I sure do hate these glock haters. That all hate glocks and say they suck for absolutely no reason at all. It is a GREAT GUN, if not the BEST.... deal with it...
That is an H&K... The glock lasted throughout the torture tests whereas the H&K obviously failed so they showed it not functioning. That's the problem with glock fanboys, bunch of idiots... no offense of course:]

Stupid morons in a stupid video. Everyone knows that HK is one of the most reliable gun manufacturers in the world. Glock doesn't hold a candle to them. Few other guns have successfully been fired after being subject to such brutal tests as the USP.
in all fairness, the term "can't hold a candle..." is a bit extreme, I would use that expression to describe the difference between a Luger P08 and Sig P226.
I am not aware of the cited brutal tests of the USP, do they have a name or date?
If you google "HK USP torture test" it will come up. It's all pretty standard stuff really: extreme temperature, proof rounds, particulate and mud testing, drop testing, etc. Nothing any modern automatic from a reputable company can't manage.
The only "stupid moron" I see here is you. The HK "torture tests" are very standard dirt, extreme temp and drop tests that ANY reputable manufacturer will perform. I don't even think they did a salt water test.
Glocks, FN's, and Sigs are all just as safe, just as reliable, not nearly as expensive (except maybe SIG), and have more redeeming qualities.
I'll put my FNP-40 USG against your HK USP any day of the week.
LMAO...a 5 second video showing a failure with a gun doesn't prove anything. One could film a failure with ANY brand of firearm. It doesn't mean it's an unreliable brand or model. You have to test many samples of the same model many many times to reach a conclusion that statistically makes sense.
H&|K are tight tolerance guns, thus a bit or dirt might make it fail. See why the AK-47 outperforms the M-16 in the dirt department, cause the AK has loose tolerances... same as a Glock, loose like the rear end of a goose.
Hk are not tight toleranced guns. Kimber 1911s are tight toleranced guns or any match 1911 is. HK has a better slide to frame fit but there are plenty of tests out there showing their reliability.
It's all about preference. I was debating the glock vs 226 for my next hand gun, but the glock just doesn't feel right for me. The sigs have just felt better in my hand and I have more control with it. People get get in these huge caliber and gun debates and then only put 300 rounds through their gun a year. Shoot what your good with and practice a lot. Because when that bad guy has a bullet between his eyes he won't care about what gun or what caliber it is.
I agree with you...shoot with what you are comfortable using....like I said I have both and they're both great guns...although I think there's less that can go wrong with glock simply because it has less parts...it's just a very simple accurate reliable piece.
Really the Sigs are the main handgun of the US Navy seals. They've been using the P226 for years now.
The MK23 is another gun thats been tested by them, and probably used but the highest percentage as far as I know are P226's. Really it boils down to preference though. Between Glock H&K and SIG they're all probably great guns but different people have different taste in guns, take me for example I still like the 1911 best but Im really looking at a Glock or a Sig as another Pistol.
i spoke with some specwar guys who work in coronado recently and the word is that they are phasing the mk23 out of the entire nswc inventory cause they are too huge... they are like the size of a desert eagle and too bulky... but the usp compact tactical should take care of that problem if the navy would consider it... even though alot those guys are getting sig 226 now.
Err... That's not true. Seals have been using the Sig 226 since the 80's. Do your homework before posting :) And all this Brand X is better than Brand Y is a waste of energy. Everyone has different wants for different applications. Sigs are good. HK's are good. Glocks are good. Who gives a shit who carries what?
@Kacy4eq The issued weapon is the P226, But Often you will see Seals with Mk.23's. While you are correct in your statement, It's correct to an extent. You are also right about the comparison of Systems. To me, It comes down to what I am most comfortable shooting. At the moment is a USP Expert. But I do own a P229, And a Glock 17 and 32.
@AdmiralGST In size, The USP and an Full Sized Sigs are very comparable. And the Trigger pull on the USP's are very smooth and I don't know about anyone else, But I don't get flexing in my Trigger. As for my P229, It's very similar but very different. The triggers are somewhat equal, As is the Price tag. They are both reliable, Good, Solid Pistols. But For me I am just more comfortable with the USP.
Let me settle this GLOCK vs. SIG debate. Ask yourself this, which gun is in the holster of the U.S. NAVY SEALs and the British 22nd SAS?
The answer: SIG
By the way, if you listen to the arguments that GLOCK fanboys make as to why GLOCK is superior to HK and SIG, it always comes down to price. Face it, GLOCK is the "value" brand.
The SEALS and the SAS??? Because an SOF unit adopted a firearm doesn't mean it's "..superior". The Army SF and Marine Recon use modified 1911s, the FBI uses Glocks, and the Spetsnaz use Makarovs. What's your point? If Hk is beyond reliability, then why aren't there unbias user video postings adulating its 'superior' performance?
I don't even care about HK really. SIG SAUER makes the best pistols, that's a fact.
And yes, when you have an elite military units like the SEALs and SAS adopt a weapon and continue using it for decades, that says a lot because either of those two units could get there hands on literally any gun.
No no no my 'monolingual' friend. In the English language, that's not considered a fact, that's considered an opinion. So again, because one of the world's many elite SOF units adopted a certain brand of firearm doesn't mean it superpasses all other manufacturers in quality or performance. Tacticians, combatist, and other professionals alike prefer the Glock -- now that's a fact. Here are a few examples: Vladimir Vasiliev, Kelly McCann, and Gabriel Suarez.

I have 2 HK's and I have never had a failure and I trust my life to them. I like glock, but HK's are superior. Not to mention they manufacture more than just a pistol. And if you look at military's around the world you will find that they use HK, not glock. They did something to that gun to make it look bad, notice they did not show it longer than a few seconds and only from one side, and did not outline the function problem.
actually, if you read the article describing the enitre battery of tests, all they did was shake it in a bucket of play-sand.
" took each pistol, full mag, round in the chamber and shook it in the sand for a few seconds. I pulled the USP compact out of the bucket(it was loaded but decocked), pulled the trigger, hammer falls but no bang. I pull the trigger again and still no bang. Not a squib, and not a delay. I cycle the slide and eject the cartridge, but it fails to go into battery."
why are Glock's always compared to HK's? i know the answer. HK is the best and everyone wants a shot at the best. no matter if you buy a Glock or HK its going to put a round down range and thats all that matters to most civi's, most failures come from cheap ammo not the weapons themselves. i find a general rule of thumb is dont buy a handgun that cost less than $500 if your going to trust your life to it.
While I have a P2000 (USP, just with a police style twist...), the video is pretty weak. One fairly to lock forward, and it was half-ridden forward at that. My pistol does get gummy after several hundred rounds...but if you're going to post a video, back it up a little more.
Personally, I'd rather have a Smith and Wesson or Taurus. But it would be a revolver. Revolvers rule and are super reliable. In a life or death situation I want something I KNOW will work. However, to be honest, I haven't had alot of experience with semis; so I won't pretend to be an expert. It's just my choice.
why do users say just because it costs cheaper its a cheap gun. ive been in business marketing and price means nothing. marketing costs and did anyone think because more glocks are sold they would get better wholesale parts since there purchasing large quantites of material. supply and demand is what controls pricing not quality. were in a capitalistic world. i do think the costs to make a USP are higher but i cant see how a UPS is better quality.
How is it " jammed"? This video could do a better job of illustrating its point. Looking at the rear of the gun, it looks like it's in battery , no? Where is the "jam", and what is "jammed"?
I have a Glock 21 and out of the dozens of 45 autos I have owned it is the best. I like other models but I love Glock! I wouldn't trade it for 2 HKs not that HKs are not fine pistols it just isn't a Glock.

to anyone who thinks that glock is better than Heckler & Koch, let me know if you want to test it against my HK i will put mine through anything you want me to mud, sand, dirt, lodge a round in the barrel and fire another one behind it, whatever you would like. losser buys winner a new pistol of his (or her) choice. contact me for an address to meet at. THANKS.
Nice. These glock fanboys are lame. HK's rule, they invented polymer framed pistols that glock is so famous for. Glock fans just hate on HK's because they can't afford them.
Why would i want to spend double the money on something, when i can something better for about half? Not to mention mags are sooo much cheaper. I've owned a USP .45acp. Mags were like $45 bucks. And the pistol didn't group well at all. Maybe i'll buy the 9mm verion next time.

To imply that the Glock is a better weapon than the HK USP clearly shows that you are in fact an uneducated moron with no real world experence. The Glock is an OK weapon system but by no means does it match up to the machining, tolerances, accuracy, and dependability of the USP.
imagine a glock, a usp, a S&W M&P and a beretta on the open ground. They're loaded but you've no idea how long they've been there. You got 5 seconds to pick one up and shoot it, which one would you get? Most cops would choose the glock. Why? Because it doesn't matter in combat how accurate the USP is.
every Missouri state highway patrolman i know either has a sig p229 or USP compact as a back up. The issue pistol is a glock 17 they only carry it because they have to.
I've owned Glocks and HKs. Both are extremely reliable guns. The HKs are fully worth the extra couple hundred dollars. Much better fit and finish, and a better grip angle. The glocks feel much cheaper. However, I would trust my life to both. Nevertheless, the Glocks are all gone, but the HK P30 and USP Tactical .45 remain.
Right, everyone knows you should perform this maneuver with your hand palm-down on top of the slide. It's a good idea to form the habit of blocking the ejection port when cycling a handgun.
What's the deal with all these 5 or 8 second videos that don't give any context to the video? I'm all about the Glock, but what is this 5 second video showing? It's showing an HK that won't lock. Why not show what was done to it that made it not lock? Same with things like your test video 23 and 24. It says Glock sand test, but all it shows is a Glock firing. Why not show it being pulled from the sand and then firing to help validate the video?
Maybe if you read the website that he posts in every single one of these videos' descriptions, it would add that context. These vids were put up here to show you some of the stuff from the website--they're not meant to be self-explanitory.
I realize that, but how hard would it be to show the gun being pulled out of the bucket of whatever? After all, the video is only 5 seconds long. Surely there is more than the 5 seconds shown. REmember, these videos get linked to on gun forums, and it wouldn't hurt to see a bit of explanatory video. JMHO.
@Medic1210 Its all about da money..! (schapman is youtube partner) Or it could be that they dont want t wait so long to release a complete video and instead release a vid once a week?
Nice test !!, Glock is the AK47 of the pistol world.
I think the HK USP is a great gun, accurate and reliable but Glock is extremely reliable. Remember some times you pay for a good finish and a nice looking gun.
You know, some $1200 worth of a bottle of wine from france can taste worse than the $3 one from california. Remember, price isnt all about performance, its always 33% design and 33% quality and 33% expensive REPUTATION...especially when it comes to buying a pistol.
Dear sir in thisvideo hk wont lock so sir why texas rangers only choose sig and HK pistols why u.s elite units use HK USP MK 23 socom pistol what aboutnew HK45 for next generation socom pistol and sir what can you say about kaboom especially in 45 cal glocks why u.s marines choose expansive sig pistols or other units around the world socom pstol do you believe a 2400$ or 1000$ pistol isnt as good as a 600$ pistol?
US Military procurement is politically motivated which is why they chose the Beretta despite it not being up to the job. Unreliable, over complex, over bulky and weak of slide. You don't always get what you pay for, especially when the military is paying.

The biggest torture of all is listening to all the D-bag Glock hater's. The best Handgun in the world is the one that you can make vital hits with time after time. For me it's a Glock, maybe not for you that's ok.

@MikeReiner In that case let me give you my apologies, it makes perfect sense to me. I will remove that comment as it does not belong. Thank you.

Yah that's why over 40% of all us law enforcement agencies choose Glock over all other Brands. Dependable, Accurate, Safe... The H&K's are for sure outstanding firearms. If you shoot you H&K like you do your mouth...
God help us....lol
IMRKJMSBITCH 2 years ago
Nah if I am dropping 1k on a handgun its going to be a sig. Say what you want about the usp and hk mk 23 but the sig 226/229 family is the best out there.
Daytonaman675 2 years ago
Well, the only reason it's a household name is because of the reputation that it's built over the years. The only real complaint you can level against glocks is their ergonomics, and the fact that they're butt ugly. The ergonomics you can get used to, but you can do little to improve the reliabilty and safety of other pistols. Seriously, the motto says it all- Perfection.
megatron515 2 years ago
He probably does not even have a clip in that gun. It won't lock without an empty magazine. Stupid demo and video. Tool.
Seams675 2 years ago
@Seams675 haha theyre not talking about the slide locking back, theyre talking about it locking forward in the firing position. look how when they release the slide it doesnt come all the way forward. it wont fire out of battery, so if you had that usp in your hand you would be fucked

Stupid morons in a stupid video. Everyone knows that HK is one of the most reliable gun manufacturers in the world. Glock doesn't hold a candle to them. Few other guns have successfully been fired after being subject to such brutal tests as the USP.
number1Schumacherfan 2 years ago
in all fairness, the term "can't hold a candle..." is a bit extreme, I would use that expression to describe the difference between a Luger P08 and Sig P226.
I am not aware of the cited brutal tests of the USP, do they have a name or date?
762full 2 years ago
If you google "HK USP torture test" it will come up. It's all pretty standard stuff really: extreme temperature, proof rounds, particulate and mud testing, drop testing, etc. Nothing any modern automatic from a reputable company can't manage.
Otacon237 2 years ago
The only "stupid moron" I see here is you. The HK "torture tests" are very standard dirt, extreme temp and drop tests that ANY reputable manufacturer will perform. I don't even think they did a salt water test.
Glocks, FN's, and Sigs are all just as safe, just as reliable, not nearly as expensive (except maybe SIG), and have more redeeming qualities.
I'll put my FNP-40 USG against your HK USP any day of the week.
Otacon237 2 years ago
"I'll put my FNP-40 USG against your HK USP any day of the week. "
So where's your torture test video of your FNP-40?

Where's yours?
I can't afford to do one, but if you google "FNP extended testing" there's several articles outlining the various torture tests it went through.
Otacon237 2 years ago
@number1Schumacherfan thats right glocks are hunks of garbage to a USP
bordersoldier 2 years ago
LMAO...a 5 second video showing a failure with a gun doesn't prove anything. One could film a failure with ANY brand of firearm. It doesn't mean it's an unreliable brand or model. You have to test many samples of the same model many many times to reach a conclusion that statistically makes sense.
austinguy23 2 years ago
H&|K are tight tolerance guns, thus a bit or dirt might make it fail. See why the AK-47 outperforms the M-16 in the dirt department, cause the AK has loose tolerances... same as a Glock, loose like the rear end of a goose.
12GaugeLosAngeles 2 years ago
Hk are not tight toleranced guns. Kimber 1911s are tight toleranced guns or any match 1911 is. HK has a better slide to frame fit but there are plenty of tests out there showing their reliability.
Hks don't fire out of battery either...
AUSly09 2 years ago
thats why the best weapons have reliability and precision, I guess the difference between the AK and the Glock is, the Glock is precise

I have a sig sauer p226 and a glock 17 and I can tell you that so far I am liking the glock better...
bc5620 2 years ago
It's all about preference. I was debating the glock vs 226 for my next hand gun, but the glock just doesn't feel right for me. The sigs have just felt better in my hand and I have more control with it. People get get in these huge caliber and gun debates and then only put 300 rounds through their gun a year. Shoot what your good with and practice a lot. Because when that bad guy has a bullet between his eyes he won't care about what gun or what caliber it is.
motogpracer87 2 years ago 3
I agree with you...shoot with what you are comfortable using....like I said I have both and they're both great guns...although I think there's less that can go wrong with glock simply because it has less parts...it's just a very simple accurate reliable piece.
bc5620 2 years ago 2
The sigs are full metal and are more accurate than glocks, on the other hand they probably wont take as much abuse. I have no experiance with the H&K
Bestcanadianhunter 2 years ago
Really the Sigs are the main handgun of the US Navy seals. They've been using the P226 for years now.
The MK23 is another gun thats been tested by them, and probably used but the highest percentage as far as I know are P226's. Really it boils down to preference though. Between Glock H&K and SIG they're all probably great guns but different people have different taste in guns, take me for example I still like the 1911 best but Im really looking at a Glock or a Sig as another Pistol.
oldannyboy37 2 years ago
The HK IS THE GUN USED BY US SEALS!!! IT IS THE MK23 aka. SOCOM .45acp 12+1. with a threaded barral for silencer
HecklerandKochdude 2 years ago
i spoke with some specwar guys who work in coronado recently and the word is that they are phasing the mk23 out of the entire nswc inventory cause they are too huge... they are like the size of a desert eagle and too bulky... but the usp compact tactical should take care of that problem if the navy would consider it... even though alot those guys are getting sig 226 now.

Sigs may be better than Glocks, but HK's are the best. The seals don't use Sig, they use the MK 23 Socom based on the HK USP.
number1Schumacherfan 2 years ago

Kacy4eq, whats the best 45 for tactical home defense. none of that sub compact bs. a very good and accurate 45 handgun. any suggestions?

@Kacy4eq The issued weapon is the P226, But Often you will see Seals with Mk.23's. While you are correct in your statement, It's correct to an extent. You are also right about the comparison of Systems. To me, It comes down to what I am most comfortable shooting. At the moment is a USP Expert. But I do own a P229, And a Glock 17 and 32.
aphsknight74 1 year ago
@aphsknight74 I've heard that they hate it because of its size and trigger pull, got anything backing up that statement?
AdmiralGST 1 year ago
@AdmiralGST In size, The USP and an Full Sized Sigs are very comparable. And the Trigger pull on the USP's are very smooth and I don't know about anyone else, But I don't get flexing in my Trigger. As for my P229, It's very similar but very different. The triggers are somewhat equal, As is the Price tag. They are both reliable, Good, Solid Pistols. But For me I am just more comfortable with the USP.

fuggsakes 3 years ago
In my opinion, Sigs and Glock's are equally built. Glock may have better reputation but sig are just as reliable.
ohiodeerhunter21 2 years ago
Let me settle this GLOCK vs. SIG debate. Ask yourself this, which gun is in the holster of the U.S. NAVY SEALs and the British 22nd SAS?
The answer: SIG
By the way, if you listen to the arguments that GLOCK fanboys make as to why GLOCK is superior to HK and SIG, it always comes down to price. Face it, GLOCK is the "value" brand.
elsamuraiguapo 3 years ago
The SEALS and the SAS??? Because an SOF unit adopted a firearm doesn't mean it's "..superior". The Army SF and Marine Recon use modified 1911s, the FBI uses Glocks, and the Spetsnaz use Makarovs. What's your point? If Hk is beyond reliability, then why aren't there unbias user video postings adulating its 'superior' performance?
dmitrikonovich123 3 years ago 2
I don't even care about HK really. SIG SAUER makes the best pistols, that's a fact.
And yes, when you have an elite military units like the SEALs and SAS adopt a weapon and continue using it for decades, that says a lot because either of those two units could get there hands on literally any gun.
elsamuraiguapo 3 years ago
No no no my 'monolingual' friend. In the English language, that's not considered a fact, that's considered an opinion. So again, because one of the world's many elite SOF units adopted a certain brand of firearm doesn't mean it superpasses all other manufacturers in quality or performance. Tacticians, combatist, and other professionals alike prefer the Glock -- now that's a fact. Here are a few examples: Vladimir Vasiliev, Kelly McCann, and Gabriel Suarez.
dmitrikonovich123 3 years ago 2

I have 2 HK's and I have never had a failure and I trust my life to them. I like glock, but HK's are superior. Not to mention they manufacture more than just a pistol. And if you look at military's around the world you will find that they use HK, not glock. They did something to that gun to make it look bad, notice they did not show it longer than a few seconds and only from one side, and did not outline the function problem.
navyman8903 3 years ago
actually, if you read the article describing the enitre battery of tests, all they did was shake it in a bucket of play-sand.

You should do a torture test on the springfield XD.
hunter15234 3 years ago
why are Glock's always compared to HK's? i know the answer. HK is the best and everyone wants a shot at the best. no matter if you buy a Glock or HK its going to put a round down range and thats all that matters to most civi's, most failures come from cheap ammo not the weapons themselves. i find a general rule of thumb is dont buy a handgun that cost less than $500 if your going to trust your life to it.
gnvarnadore 3 years ago 2

delawareindahouse 3 years ago
While I have a P2000 (USP, just with a police style twist...), the video is pretty weak. One fairly to lock forward, and it was half-ridden forward at that. My pistol does get gummy after several hundred rounds...but if you're going to post a video, back it up a little more.
617Ghost 3 years ago
Personally, I'd rather have a Smith and Wesson or Taurus. But it would be a revolver. Revolvers rule and are super reliable. In a life or death situation I want something I KNOW will work. However, to be honest, I haven't had alot of experience with semis; so I won't pretend to be an expert. It's just my choice.
sirroxalot 3 years ago
why do users say just because it costs cheaper its a cheap gun. ive been in business marketing and price means nothing. marketing costs and did anyone think because more glocks are sold they would get better wholesale parts since there purchasing large quantites of material. supply and demand is what controls pricing not quality. were in a capitalistic world. i do think the costs to make a USP are higher but i cant see how a UPS is better quality.
cyber702 3 years ago
How is it " jammed"? This video could do a better job of illustrating its point. Looking at the rear of the gun, it looks like it's in battery , no? Where is the "jam", and what is "jammed"?

Maybe i'll buy the 9mm verion next time.
delawareindahouse 3 years ago
That may be true for some, but many people simply just favor the pistols they own. Glock is not a bad pistol at all.

To imply that the Glock is a better weapon than the HK USP clearly shows that you are in fact an uneducated moron with no real world experence. The Glock is an OK weapon system but by no means does it match up to the machining, tolerances, accuracy, and dependability of the USP.
bronk5150 3 years ago
imagine a glock, a usp, a S&W M&P and a beretta on the open ground. They're loaded but you've no idea how long they've been there. You got 5 seconds to pick one up and shoot it, which one would you get? Most cops would choose the glock. Why? Because it doesn't matter in combat how accurate the USP is.
kanelupis 3 years ago 3
every Missouri state highway patrolman i know either has a sig p229 or USP compact as a back up. The issue pistol is a glock 17 they only carry it because they have to.
HKuspDADDY 3 years ago
I've owned Glocks and HKs. Both are extremely reliable guns. The HKs are fully worth the extra couple hundred dollars. Much better fit and finish, and a better grip angle. The glocks feel much cheaper. However, I would trust my life to both. Nevertheless, the Glocks are all gone, but the HK P30 and USP Tactical .45 remain.

Medic1210 4 years ago 12
Maybe if you read the website that he posts in every single one of these videos' descriptions, it would add that context. These vids were put up here to show you some of the stuff from the website--they're not meant to be self-explanitory.
smike1012 4 years ago 2
I realize that, but how hard would it be to show the gun being pulled out of the bucket of whatever? After all, the video is only 5 seconds long. Surely there is more than the 5 seconds shown. REmember, these videos get linked to on gun forums, and it wouldn't hurt to see a bit of explanatory video. JMHO.

US Military procurement is politically motivated which is why they chose the Beretta despite it not being up to the job. Unreliable, over complex, over bulky and weak of slide. You don't always get what you pay for, especially when the military is paying.
