KGB Studios must be pulling our legs. This is not how to lubricate the capstan and pinch roller. Certainly don't use needle nose pliars, even if he warns don't 'dig in'. Amazing expertvillage lets anyone put up this kind of stuff. It should be titled how to lubricate the machine screws. Veddy funny!

I agree, you undid the capstan sleeve screw and the pinch roller screw and oiled the thread? you didnt even oil the pinch roller shaft! for a chief engineer you should know a lot better.

@JackSofalot could it be that the capstan is hollow and lube can run down inside and maybe there is a wick and holes on the bearing surfaces top and bottom.
