Sorry, but Fundamentalist Christianity was born out of a greedy oil baron's attempt to get around unionization. Then it was driven by segregation. All the founders of the Religeous Right (Billy Graham, Jerry Fallwell, James Dobson) were anti-integration until it was obviously a loosing battle. Which was when they switched to the current mix of anti-abortion/anti-gay. But the fact is, the Religious Right is compressively authoritarian.

marriage has been redefined as long as there has been marriage. interfaith, interracial. interdenominational. the only discrimination has been on YOUR SIDE not ours. the only mental abusing being committed in this issue, is the abuse you folks do to yourselves. just shrug your shoulders, walk away and let folks just live their lives as THEY see fit

Marriage is the legal binding contract between 2 people to create kinship. Interracial marriage is still marriage. Senor citizens getting married is still marriage. Gay marriage is still MARRIAGE. Marriage is marriage no matter what label you put onto it. When 2 people who ARENT parents get married, THAT is fatherless & Motherless marriage too, because none of them are parents. Whats your point?

The anti marriage groups are the ones who need the clever marketing. Why in world would you try and destroy the relationship of any loving couple, be they gay or straight? But through mainly fear, these anti-marriage groups make it seem that if gays are allowed marriage rights, all of society will fall. Do they need facts? Nope. They just need clever marketing. It worked in California. Now they are trying to make it work in Maine.

Last time I checked, "Yes On 1" has TONS of ads full of scare tactics and false accusations, which feature Children, and are designed to scare people into believing same sex marriage is a threat.

What do children face? I will tell you what they face with gay marriage. If they are orphans, they get the greater hope that they will be adopted into stable, loving homes. If the children have gay parents, they will have inheritance and tax rights that will financially benefit the children. Children will learn that they live in a tolerant society. They live in a country where the laws apply to everyone equally. They will learn that conservative christians are hateful and tried to stop love

Don't use children to justify Marriage. THAT is a shame. If anything HETERO Bigots want to stop gays from adopting children, because they are ignorant enough to believe that 1) a child might turn gay if raised by gay parents, and 2) that a child is better off having NO parents, then being raised by 2 parents of the same gender. & I'll remind you AGAIN that ANYONE can raise children regardless of marital status. Banning gay marriage isnt going to stop gays from raising kids. they already do.

You know every gay person in the world was once a kid, & many kids are going to grown up & be gay, possibly even yours. If you REALLY Cared about protecting children, then you'd be fighting for them to have an equal future, not taking their rights away.

Good people accept gay people because they are good, and want to share the rights that they enjoy. They are good Americans, who want to help gay families. These people are not brainwashed by marketing. They are listening to requests for help from gays. They are educated, and have lost their fear of gays and have rejected the fear-mongering of the christian conservatives. It is the evangelical haters behind these videos. They even think gays being murdered is a marketing ploy! Crazy.

This idea that marriage equality is about a vast conspiracy is rather paranoid - just look at this video's description claiming that the devil is behind this. It really defies plausibility to think that a loving same sex couple is only seeking equal legal treatment as a means to corrupt or silence people - it's simply doesn't make sense.
