  • Ah... Reminds me of good 'ol time Animal Collective : D

  • @BetterTasteThanU go back to your shitty music then.

  • @BetterTasteThanU Oh thats cool. I understand that we have different tastes in music, and I completely respect this. Thanks for letting us know how you feel though, we use people like you, to re assure ourselves that we're listening to better music than the majority of people. Please feel free to comment again friend.

  • @Garykelleher123 Sorry, but I actually a very advanced and eclectic (look it up) taste, so you'll need to find another excuse for liking trash.

  • @BetterTasteThanU You're cute. x

  • This is beautiful...!

  • I wish the world could be more like AC

  • @Noctiz0

you should move to Nashville and sit around with my friends, we listen to the Collective literally every day..

  • this is my all time favorite song by ac

the video goes perfectly with the song.

  • put on 2x speed and go to the 2:58. sounds great

  • @SuperMisterlucho

I agree, the song is too slow

  • Is perfection a place or just a glimpse at hard works face

  • Baya Baya Baya Baya Baya

  • Amazing how AC music grows on you, When I first listened to this I absolutely hated it but now I can't get it out of my mind.

  • Damn this is great. Reminds me of Pan's Labyrinth a bit.

  • Is there one sweet one that I must... reach for then I'm done....?

Is perfection a place or just a.... glimpse at hard work's face?

  • This band....more than any band of the past decade....encapsulates everything about our generation. It's so very very hard to say why though. Something about the sonic aesthetic of it all...just speaks to the experiences of everyone who came of age in a post-9/11/internet world. It's forward thinking music mixed with the primal archaic revival mixed with the very marrow of the here and now. It's the best music of the past decade. I know my kids(haha...like that will happen) will be jealous...

  • @avedic you'll have beautiful babies :)

  • @Curlytwins1993 aw thanks :)

  • 4 people got scared of the tapeworm man

  • Just beautifully creative dissonant and artistic:P

  • This is completely awesome. I don't have words for it, just enjoyment.

  • love it. vocals remind me of ian curtis

  • once this song really gets going, it's incredible. so primal...

  • True artists, expressing something emotional and raw.. It only makes sense that something so primal would connect with people on such a deep meaningful level. Favorite band ever is an understatement.

  • @FFScantgetadamnname This is miles above the "top 40" bullshit everyone mimicking nowadays.

  • where can i get the movie? what's it called??

  • @fadoodle100 You can get it on the website. It's called Oddsac.

  • what album's this on?

  • @palbo4 ODDSAC

  • I'm in love

  • Panda's drums just build up to those amazing fills at the end, so sick

  • Going to the premier of this, and meeting everyone except for Panda Bear, was one of the most amazing days of my life.

  • @aljr0 i envy you.

  • @Noctiz0 Feel the same way, no one I know has even heard of 'em... despite my best efforts to recommend

  • ODDSAC was AMAZING....I kinda hate how I don't know anyone that listens to AC; I would love to just sit around with a group of AC fans and discuss the awesomeness of this awesome work of art

  • @Noctiz0 Do it here instead mate.

  • @Noctiz0 haha it took me months but I got my friends into them finally. Best smoke sessions EVAR!

  • @Noctiz0 If you live in LA, we should gather people and become best friends.

  • @HamSandwich09 Noctiz0 That's far too far for me.

  • @HamSandwich09 I'm in

  • @VirtualWaffle Bonus if you play some sort of instrument. You don't even have to play it well.

  • @HamSandwich09 Guitar and keyboard.

  • @Noctiz0 me too man me too

  • @Noctiz0 I'll sit and chat with you. =]

  • @Noctiz0 I would love to trip with yah....

  • @Noctiz0 They're a pretty secretive group :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Noctiz0 yo i could talk AC forever

  • @Noctiz0 I feel you dude lol that'd be so sick!

  • @Noctiz0 A couple of my buds are BIG AC fans... We are from Baltimore too.

But we went to see them at 930 club... And it seemed like a lot of the people there sucked at fucking life. I felt like myself, my friends and only a few other people were actually dancing or jamming out... Everyone else was just fucking standing there... And trying not to let people that are having a good time get up front.. But we did. Fuck those douches.

  • @Noctiz0 where do you live?

  • @Noctiz0 i hear ya man.

  • @Noctiz0 luckily for me, all of my friends are huge AC fans

  • @Noctiz0 dude, go to omegle.com, write that you like AC, and soon you'll be chatting with other AC fans... been there, done that

  • sounds like residents

  • reminds me of joy division

  • You're not a bad dad! Don't blamed yourself it was an accident!

  • this song is a nightmare you want to have

  • BITCH LOOKS LIKE THE DEVIL...

  • damn....

  • what album is this from?

  • @lmfviolet78 ODDSAC It's actually a clip from the movie that was made by the songs of Animal Collective.

  • Around the climax of the song, it sounds like he's saying "Imma fag"

    Am I just hearing things?

  • is there one sweet One

that I must reach for, then I'm done?

  • the movie is seriously ridiculous

  • nuuuuuuts!!!

  • This sounds a lot like The Residents and I like it :)

  • most people would find this very very odd and confusing, but this is beautiful.

  • @raygunjoness lol you couldn't of put it any better. love this song

  • shut up and listen.

  • this is truly EPIC

  • you don't need drugs to get the best out of the ODDSAC experience. just watching and listening can get you high enough.

  • @Zemmi i beg to differ

  • watching this on lsd is a must. i just did the other day and it was epic

  • @N05h00b135

I want to do this so bad.

  • @Envee211 you gotta!

  • Would KILL to hear a live version of this in their upcoming tour.

  • Now I understand life.

  • @xxbirdhunterxx

NICE TRY COPYING THE TANTRUM BARB COMMENT muahaha

  • such a beautiful film

    animal collective is amazing.

  • larry heard

  • oddsac was one of the best films i've ever seen, and if not the best music ac has ever made. it only made me more excited as to where their going to next..can't wait.

  • Who's doing vocals on this?

  • @TheNotoc

    davey

  • @nauseousqueasy

Are you sure it's Avey? It sounds like it could be Deakin.

  • @Envee211 It's a pitch-shifted avey.

  • @nauseousqueasy i thought it was deakin :s

  • @nauseousqueasy does he also sing #1 off strawberry jam?

  • @TheMichiganSkater

exactly he's singing through some vocal effect. this video shows it well:

    /watch?v=RI3NJYsIqws

  • @TheNotoc kinda sounds more like deakin

  • @TheNotoc kinda sounds more like deakin, or atlest in the begin it does

  • Comment removed

  • @GetReal0rGoHome

This is in fact Avey. When they were screening the film, I asked Geologist and he said it was Avey, just using some phase and other effects.

  • @TheNotoc Ian Curtis

  • this is FUCKING AMAZING

  • "man your shoes are hard to replace" is that a sarcastic dissy diss, anco? i see they're getting sassier and sassier

  • So I see AC got back into drugs, huh?

  • those two beings who DISLIKE this need to burn by mr. fingers' fire

  • Ive tried on multiple occasions to sit down and get all the way through Oddsac and every time about 5min in, around here, i get to scared and have to turn it off. But watching this now, not baked out of my mind, it doesn't seem all that bad..

  • @beardedlumberjack lol yea its pretty scary, i had to stop after the part where the 2 talking people turn into colored spirits, it's too much...

  • I remember seeing this at their premiere in Baltimore last year. Was one hell of an experience to see this with a live audience x33

  • man your shoes are hard to replace.

  • i've now watched ODDSAC on acid once, and mushrooms once...

i recommend it to those who have a strong tripping mind. its pretty mind-shattering to say the least.

  • Oddsac is amazing. If you are thinking about buying it, but reviews that say it sucks is stoping you, dont listen. Oddsac is a trip! And it has a happy Ending!

  • the whole thing is mindblowing, espically if you just smoked a cannon:D

  • Holy crap... this was my first time seeing/hearing anything of ODDSAC, and I love it. It's so intense and so them. Their sound is so ineffable... you know it's them when you hear it, but it's NEVER predictable.

  • Saw this in theatres with Danny and Deakin present. I've never felt so unsettled in my life. And I LOVED it!

  • im with you dude, animal collective will always be musical geniuses

  • i dont care what anyone says. i love animal collective and always will.

  • @DeLachuga True that!

  • I can't believe this shit. My mind is incapable of processing all the sounds at once

  • It's almost too intense at times. If you watched this while on LSD, your brain would liquefy and come out your nose.

  • @hooksashandsable nah it doesn't, don't worry ;)

  • @hooksashandsable I thought this exact thing at a few points in Oddsac. The flow of the music and visuals leads to gradually building horror so effectively that watching this on acid would be damn near cruel.

  • @jambofun

Doseing and watching this would be a terrifying experience.

  • is everyone on youtube to sound like whiny bitch or something? the green plague, its a music video, pretty self explanatory. u dont know what animal collective is...my my how do we solve this conundrum? wait! i know!!! google it

  • goddammit

  • ok for the newbs: start at 2:30 ..before that will grow. its avey

  • when the drums kick in things get real. real AWESOME.

  • the first half of this song is no indication for the amazingness of the second half...love this

  • the perfect beginning to a wonderous work of art.

  • My roommate thinks this is about drilling/using oil. The chick goes into a craze once she discovers what's within the walls, then she realizes she is extracting too much and it is overwhelming her. She wants to "make things right" by putting it back in, but it keeps spilling out. The haunting slo-mo avey and clockwork orange dub base melody just make it that much more meaningful and impactful. It forces you to think, even if you don't want to.

  • @sminard I respect that opinion, but doesn't it seem too literal of an interpretation? You should take it a step or two further perhaps? =]

  • @Tyton I agree that it was literal. I didn't share his opinion but found simplicity and beauty in it. I think visual/audio experiences like these tend to cause people to over think to discover meaning, when perhaps the meaning is so obvious that it's difficult to discover because everything is digging into it trying to find the hidden message.

  • The actress in the sludge is my neighbor's sister!

  • I kinda regret knowing that's Avey because I'm not as freaked out as I would've been had I thought it was just some random dude. Still amazing.

  • Where can I download the whole soundtrack for free? Im having a hard time finding a legit site.

  • If they had the black ooze fill up the room and the girl going frantic, that might've been awesome. Regardless, that's just an idea. This shit's on reply and has me in a trance like no other.

  • same thoughts

  • I CAME.

  • 3:29 always get me... This song is amazing and the DVD was simply astonishing. Huge fan of animal collective and know they will only make more beautiful art.

  • I've seen the film at two screenings now and It's fucking awesome, just go and see it if they have any dates left because the DVD will not suffice!

  • @OGARAINTDEAD yes!! did you notice they changed the part in kindle song with geologists faces? at the screening there were like more than a dozen faces and on the dvd there only 6 full ones...

  • @adonepelagree I've not seen the DVD version yet, will have a look though.

  • lol portner w/ an auto harp covered in vaseline and glitter walking between fire dancers, so epic even thou its the 5000th time ive seen it.

  • out amongst the music trapped in its time

mad men muse brought tears to my face

dressed in the form of classical rhyme

    light the dawning electrical graze

  • I never thought pretentious nonsense could be so pleasing

  • absolutely wonderful.

  • I love this movie,

  • you have the wrong word up there.

is perfection a place or just a , glimpse at hard work's face

  • Gotta love a red glittered Avey.

  • @thisisrobertb

    red glittered panda

  • @Berliozboy 100% sure its a glittered dave portner

  • @Berliozboy LOL Animal Collective noob. Its Avey that is red and glittered

  • @Berliozboy Lol

  • i was so creeped out. mainly cause of the volume tho

  • @baerm1 /watch?v=Uhx_LKJJvVQ

  • 3:50 is my favorite part. i just don't know why the first time i saw it avey gave me the chills!

  • so glad someone finally got a video of this on here. you should also put up what happened :}

  • @arvidownsyou

it's on my page check it out

  • @nauseousqueasy ...Or maybe you should just post the description on here and stop being a douche bag about it.

  • @TheGreenPlague

    what do you mean?

  • @TheGreenPlague

    I, uh, think you misunderstand.

  • @themilstead You're absolutely right...I really don't understand this. Don't really want to.

  • @TheGreenPlague

dude you are an idiot "What Happened?" is the name of one of their songs from the movie.

  • @nauseousqueasy I'm not an idiot for not knowing about some movie or song I've never seen before. This popped up as a suggested feature video, for what reason, I have no clue. You don't have a description about the video, So it makes it even more confusing. And telling me vague reference isn't going help either.

You could have eliminated a lot of confusion by posting a descriptiong, but you didn't. Thanks for introducing me to Animal Collective. THEY SUCK, and fuck you for insulting me.

  • @TheGreenPlague

dude if you look back, it was you who originally came to this video and called me a douche bag...

  • @nauseousqueasy Yea, because you didn't post a description, and I figured the other person commenting was also telling you to post what it was about, and I agreed, because you have to be completely oblivious to assume everyone is going to know what "animal collective" or the video is. Anyway, I really don't need to keep having this debate. Good luck with your..."art".

  • @TheGreenPlague

dude wait, holy fuck, i just heard about this thing, i think its called like goggles or something. google maybe?

    ...uDUMB

and i appreciate your good luck wishes with out art. much thanks

  • @cooperwinterson97 Why the sam fuck would i waste my time on google looking up some bullshit..suck a dick hipster fag.

  • @TheGreenPlague

because youre already wasting time viewing, and responding to these lists of comments of people hating on you

im pretty sure another 5 seconds is do-able

and sorry dude im not gay, and the correct term would be skateboarder

oh yea and if you actually DO respond to this, youre proving to me even mroe how contradicting, and retarded you are.

    suck a dick non-hipster fag.
