I was wondering if I"m using a m4cqb short barrel 6.01 stock hight as a mp5, witch cylinder is batter to use a cylinder with a hole on it or full cover one? cause im worried if i use a full cover cylinder will i lose fps or will it increase?

@CommunityTroll This gearbox with very simple modifications can be just as good as a KWA. I've seen four KWA gearbox shells crack, three gearsets strip, and many pistons stripping. KWA gearboxes aren't that amazing. My JG gearbox shell, with modifications, is shooting 520 FPS at 30 rps on a 11.1v lipo. KWA is just overhyped.

I know I'm going to sound like a noob or some shit. But what are auto shimming gears? I never heard of them.

@SpartanIICommander Auto shimming gears basically have a spring that keeps them spaced properly, instead of having to manually shim the gears 1 by 1.

Is this gun "Lipo ready?" So far I'm torn between this gun and the KWA M4.

Also, what is the diameter of this gun's inner barrel? It doesn't say anywhere.

@finkster This gearbox is comparable to the 2gx. I have it in my E1 platinum and my buddy has it in his VFC SR15E3. Both guns are great, but require a little modification out the box. I've had mine for about 5 and a half months now, I've been running it on a 12v 4200 mah batt since day one and of course things go wrong. I've had to replace almost ever part except the bevel gear. After roughly 120,000 rounds. Kinda low for replacing gears but I've stripped them twice b4 they finally broke.

@finkster 6.05+ or -....Not a tight bore is that's what your hoping for. To be honest you really don't need it. The stock barrel does just fine.  Put a type 0 cylinder if you want to increase the fps with out changing the spring. Increase of about 10 or so fps same as adding a tight bore so yeah

@finkster Meh, I really don't think any gun 'stock' is lipo ready. Even KWA, however all that you would need to add to a KWA to make it truly lipo ready is a MOSFET, and deans. Then it would raise hell.

im saving up for the VFC m4 over the KWA m4 based on the fact that its better feeling externaly and the fact it does not have KWA on the lower reciver in size 46 font

@randomaznkenny Yes out of the box the KWA out performs the E-series along with pretty much all of VFC guns out of the box. For me the gun HAS to feel right. Plus I don't like how the 2gx fires out of the box so I'd crack it open anyways as I did with my E1 platinum to make minor adjustments. So for me it was VFC because the gun can easily be made to out perform a KWA for a little more than the price of a KWA with better externals.

@AmbuKiba G&P makes the best 8mm mechbox period. I wish I would've have just gotten a G&P instead of my E1 Platinum.
